That would be an overpay for CarGo, IMO.

I'm guessing you would want to center a deal around Polanco, since you would be replacing him with Gonzalez.

Maybe something like Polanco, Kingham/Keller/Holmes/Kuhl and a C level prospect. If they're not interested in that, you could possibly throw in one of Hanson or Bell, or two of their mid rotation arms in their system listed above. Taillon and Glasnow would be untouchable, especially in a deal that's already including Polanco.

Thanks for the response. I will see what I can do without including Glasnow in the deal. I am unfamiliar with the Pirates farm system so was unsure if it was fair or not. Appreciate the help.

Looking to trade Erick Aybar in my Braves franchise before the season starts. I'm thinking of trading with the Rays for Jonny Venters. What else could I get in return? Looking for position player to come back with Venters.

Mets fans...how would you feel about this trade being offered to you by the Pirates:

Andrew McCutchen for Michael Conforto & Zack Wheeler

That's a tough call, but I would say no because Conforto is a budding star

You aren't getting much to Aybar. Venters + Kean Wong maybe.

I get it that Conforto could be a star, but McCutcheon IS a star. He is at least a 6WAR player who is under contract 2016-2018 if you could the option for $13,000,000, $14,000,000 and $14,500,000. Thats roughly 18 WAR over the next 3 years for $41,5000,000 million dollars. Using $8,000,000 as the value of a WAR you are looking at an insane $102,500,000 in Surplus value. Pretty sure that is the type of value that could ask back basically any prospect including your Giolito, Urias, Gallo types.

According to http://www.thepointofpittsburgh.com/...urplus-values/ that sort of Surplus Value is worth one Pitcher in the top 10, one Position Player in the Top 10 plus a Position player from 76-100 or a Pitcher from 51-75. This value chart is a little bit dated (2013) but we are talking insane value with McCutcheon.

I know McCutcheon isn't a spring chicken but we are talking his age 29, 30 and 31 seasons not his age 38, 39, 40 seasons.

Any suggestions for reasonable SP target for me doing a Red Sox chise and the potential packages it would take to get some of those pitchers. I want to avoid moving Moncada, Devers, and Benintendi.

Also what would a deal for Mark Trumbo look like assuming the orioles are out of contention, and he is a likely trade chip in that case.

I started a Phillies franchise and I want to trade away Ryan Howard. With his salary I am struggling in finding a trade that would work. Any advice?

It's hard because he's tied up with so much dead money. If there's an AL team in desperate need of a Power Bat that's making a playoff push than maybe. But you almost always need to include a prospect with him because his contract is ridiculous.

White Sox might be that team. And a Sox fan, it hurts me to say it haha

Tons. Tyson Ross, James Shields, Andrew Cashner, Homer Bailey, Strasburg.

Owens/Johnson, Chavis/Devers, and one more decent spec. Just depends on who you want.

Eh. Pick another team with a dead weight contract that needs a DH and send them a C spec with Howard.

Same as any other potential trades: ability, potential, control, age and cost.

They aren't comparable. One is an established star and the other hasn't completed one year of service time.
