Also I am very open to trading Braun even though he is mashing, i feel like this is last year being super productive being 32. What should I be looking to get in return for him and where to ship him out to?
Not too long ago the Braves, Astros and Brewers were discussing a 3 team deal that involved Lucroy. Not a lot of details but I assume Lucroy was headed to HOU, Braves pitching prospects headed to MIL and Astros bats headed to ATL.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread

I'm toying with the idea of starting a franchise with the Minnesota Twins, and attempt to unload a few vets down the stretch in return of young talented prospect to grow old with Berrios, Jay, Polanco, Gordon, Buxton and Sano.

      HIGHLY UNLIKELY (IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE)
But if you see any way for the Twins to acquire Lucas Giolito (WAS), Julio Urias (LAD), Alex Reyes (STL), Yoan Moncada (BOS) and/or Rafael Devers (BOS), feel free to pitch in.

      TRADING WITH THE INDIANS
Clint Frazier and Francisco Mejia are two players I'd really like to bring in. Any way to make that a reality ?

      STUCK BEHIND OTHER PLAYERS
Being from Montreal, I don't have access to a lot of MLB coverage (altough it's getting better with the rumors of a team coming back to Montreal eventually).

I'm curious...what's the status of Jonathan Singleton (HOU) and Javier Baez (CHC) nowadays ? The Astro do seem to have a couple of good young players at 1B with White and Reed, while the Cubs seems to be okay with Zobrist, Bryant and Russell.

Then there's Rafael Montero (NYM) who seems to be stuck behind a very good (and still young) Mets' rotation.

        Thoughts on these trades?

        Toronto Recieves:
        Tyson Ross or James Shields

        San Diego Recieves:
        Anthony Alford
        Connor Greene

Toronto needs another good pitcher for their World Series run so they get him. They give up their two top prospects. Both are projected for 2018. Do I need to throw in something else? Like a reliever, bench piece, or a low prospect?

Whoever I don't trade to Toronto I plan on trading somewhere else, for pitching. Any ideas? I want guys that are close to the majors. A year or two off

In mine I traded Pompey, Hollon and Perdomo (B+C+C) for Cashner. I would think Ross would be a similar package (maybe more) and shields would be cheap due to his contract.

None of those guys in the first group to the Twins, just don't have the value. And on the second one, no top prospects are ever traded within division.

The Twins don't have a lot to offer other teams, other than Dozier, really. None of those teams you listed have a need at 2B / would give up Urias to get Dozier.

It would take prospects you shouldn't be willing to give up (since you're rebuilding) to get the rest of those guys.

I don't think the Padres part with Ross. But I do think The Friars will gladly trade you Shields for two top prospects.

That would be a realistic trade.

Hmmm...maybe I should rethink my idea of going with the Twins then.
Thanks for you input guys, I'll think about it.

I am the Padres in this scenario. My thinking is it will take a few years to get to competing and I want to trade Ross when his value is high.

Shields is a salary dump. I wanna cut my losses with Prellers moves and put my own team together.

I think I came up with a solid trade to get rid of James Shields. The BoSox have money and also have a need for good pitching. I think this trade gives them a solid no 2 starter and I get a few pitching prospects.

                      Boston Recieves:
                      James Shields

                      San Diego Recieves:
                      LHP Trey Ball
                      RHP Ty Buttrey
                      RP Noe Ramirez.

Using OSFM as the Tigers, who can I flip Victor Martinez to? Looking for young outfielders and pitching. I'm thinking Pirates. I can get Jaso back, who isn't too much of a downgrade, along with Meadows and a B pot pitcher.

Doubtful. I don't think V-mart can play the field anymore, due to injury issues. I think you have to deal him in the AL so he can continue to DH.

Are any of you guys using force trade in your franchises because in my Red Sox franchise I wanna trade Pablo for Shields straight up but the cpu won't make that deal. It seems like a lot of these trades posted in this thread would require force trade to be on.
