As for Choo, Yankees would have to eat some of Ellsbury's deal, and hoping that the Rangers might value the defense/speed aspect of Ellsbury's game more than they value Choo's bat-first game, which I would take Choo's skillset obviously. And again, to get Gallo, I was thinking it would take Mateo/Judge as well. The Yankees have a big hole at third base, so something like this is something that would make sense for me even if I had to eat money here, but only if it makes sense on both ends.

Just for fun, any thoughts on how to get rid of Ellsbury that you think do make sense?
An ugly contract swap seems like the most likely scenario with Ellsbury, but not for Choo. Texas already has Delino Deshields in center with a similar skillset as Ellsbury.
Texas wouldn't move Gallo for a prospect. Even Judge/Mateo. High profile prospect-for-prospect swaps almost never happen due to the extreme uncertainty.
Best case to move Ellsbury is probably a bad contract swap with a couple prospects involved.
Ellsbury's contract is long and expensive, so this is a tough one.
For example, Shields is logical, but his contract is shorter and less expensive than Ellsbury's (I believe?).
    Trading Ellsbury is.... Difficult.

Also, any suggestions on a good defensive 3B?
Milwaukee would probably take a C-pot young SP. Maybe a B-pot young reliever.

As for 3Bs... Martin Prado from Miami probably wouldn't require much. Yunel Escobar from the Angels. Darwin Barney in Toronto is purely defense but REALLY good defense at every infield position. Giovany Urshela with the Indians is a great 3B.

I like to sim my first year. Sim to the draft, then the deadline then offseason. Control 6 teams. If any of them are out of it (Sea, Det, Bos, ChC, Col, Atl) looking to offload players.

What's the value of these players:
        SP, Anibal Sanchez DET
        CL, Frankie Rodriguez DET
        SP, Mike Pelfry DET
        OF, Chris Young BOS
        OF, Carlos Gonzalez COL
        OF, Nick Markakis ATL
        SS, Erik Aybar ATL
        CL, Jason Grilli ATL

        Thanks in advance
Oakland A's - Seattle Mariners - Detroit Tigers
Pittsburgh Steelers - Green Bay Packers

What would be a good package to give to the DBacks if they are out of it for Goldy? I'm the Sox.

Was thinking something along the lines of Benintendi, Espinoza, E-Rod +. With the plus including Shaw, Sam Travis.

What would it take for me to get either Joc Peterson or Billy Hamilton if I try to trade for them using Charlie Blackmon as a trade piece?

You're probably looking more along the lines of Moncada + Devers+ another top prospect at least IMO. Goldy is on a crazy affordable deal and is easy top 5 position player in the majors. I know Benintendi is highly touted but you can't really expect to get Goldy and keep the top 2 guys in your farm. I didn't crunch the #s but Goldschmidt likely has over $100 million in surplus value.

Yea I agree with you on it costing both top guys. But I exchanged E-Rod for another prospect. For some reason I thought Benintendi was higher was then Devers. And I am also giving up E-Rod, who is a good young MLB ready lefty. Which is valuable and was a top prospect last year but lost status because he pitched a full season. And is probably one of our top pitchers. Hell some are saying he is our 2nd best pitcher.

Thinking about trading for Ross or Cashner as the Astros. Not a fan of Fiers in the game; I can't seem to pitch with him.

What would they require in return? Also willing to trade for both of them since I could just move Fister to the bullpen. Willing to move almost anybody (No AJ Reed, no Tyler White, reluctant on Bregman but will).

Wish games would get with the times when it comes to trading. Not so much with the logic, but the logistics. The 2K series (NBA, no idea what MLB was doing it's last several years) allows for 3 team trades and you can add like 5 or 6 pieces per team. The NHL series allows for retaining of salary. Why developers can't put all these things together to really make things more realistic for us is beyond me. I haven't owned a baseball game in years, but it was very disappointing to pick this game up and see just the bare bones 3 for 3 system that I was using in games a decade ago. Not like game breaking or anything, but definitely takes some fun out of things.

Their decline doesn't warrant MLB ready talent.
There aren't any particular red flags in their offensive profiles.

Just curious, is someone putting together a Trade-Value spreadsheet for this year?

I wouldnt mind taking the time to put the spreadsheet together if someone smarter than me is willing to just input trade values.

I'm playing with my Mets using OSFM V1.5 but I turned off the real life injuries so I let teams have their best 40-men. Having Wheeler back, kind of makes Colon useless. I've thought of being realistic and running a 6-man rotation but so far I have him as my long relief and to cover starts in case of injuries, etc.

IF I were to move Colon, what do you guys think I could get/go for? I would love to add some more speed to be more aggressive on the basepaths.

The value of a 42 year old #5 starter is extremely low. He's definitely not going to bring back MLB ready talent. Maybe a C/high C prospect or a lottery ticket type in the low minors.

No one put together a spreadsheet. I have some ideas. Nobody's gonna like them, but they'll work.

Also gonna need volunteers who don't mind simulating like 30 seasons.
