Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread

In my Rockies franchise I am looking to unload Gerrardo Parra. I have two trades that I am looking at.

First is with the Mariners. They are contending and need a serious upgrade at left field as they have Hyun-Soo Kim starting.

    Parra for Alex Jackson.

The next is with the Astros. Both Carlos Gomez and George Springer are going to be out for a while. They are also contending.

Parra for Daz Cameron. I figure I would have to add like a high c potential player in the trade as well. I was thinking a c potential sp.

What would be the value of George Springer? I am currently two months into an Astros Chise and he is hitting around .280 with a good stat line. Went to the trade finder to see possible offers and there were some big packages out there for him. Packages ranged from 1 A and 2 B prospects to even a few 2 Low A and 1 low b prospects.

Just curious if he is worth that kind of value.

Parra is a good player but if you're going for realism, there's no way Seattle gives up their top prospect to bring him over. His value is nowhere near an A prospect, IMO. If you're trying to get a prospect for Parra from the M's I think their #5 (Nick Neidert) or #6 (DJ Peterson) guys would be equal value.

Daz I think is a good start straight up. Parras contract is pretty team friendly.

I'm trying to fix the pitching staff in Colorado and have a trade that the Phillies will take.
Trevor Story and Jordan Lyles for Nola, Hellickson and Velasquez

          What do y'all think? Or
Any suggestions how to bring in a few quality pitchers without gutting my batting lineup?

That trade shows what is wrong with the logic in game. Not a chance Phillies trade either Nola or Velasquez, especially not together, for a SS (they have Crawford coming) and a pitcher no better than any guy in their rotation now.

Story is a 70 something B guy with OSFM...did you boost him up or something?

Don't think they trade Hellickson either.

                No I'm just using the regular roster. He's a 76 A potential.
And I can get a lot for him for some reason. Mets will give up Syndergaard head up which makes no sense since he's a 89 A potential

They were in talks with the Astros during the off season for Freeman but Atlanta wouldn't move him. Gattis has only played 3 games at first, Singleton has looked lost at the major league level (k'ing at over 35%!!), Reed is an unknown. Houston absolutely gets Freeman if possible, imo.

Maybe something along the lines of Freeman for Reed + Cameron + Musgrove/Paulino. Doesn't really feel like enough tho.

I know Parra isn't worth an A prospect. Jackson only has 83 potential in mine. That's why I thought it might be a good trade.I was also thinking that he wasnt quite worth and 86 potential guy so I thought I'd have to add in a C prospect as well.

If I'm the Tigers what could I bring back in a deal involving Anibal Sanchez? He leads the league in K's and has a sub 3.00 ERA to complement a 8-1 record. I'm out of it at the deadline and I would like to sell high here. For the sake of me not listing every team who is a playoff team (not at my ps4 right now) lets just assume that any potential trade partner is in it.

If Braun is getting moved, I wonder if there is an Ellsbury deal in there somewhere.

Would SD have a package that Atlanta would like for Freeman?
I would like to get Myers back to the outfeild and upgrade over Wallace.
Its the offseason of 2016 atm. Freeman had a .316/.412/.494 21 HR 81RBI line in 2016.

If that isnt happening can anyone suggest a 1B upgrade. The only guy who hit FA was Tex and I didnt want a guy about to nose dive.

You could check in on Houston and Singleton. If you're willing to part with Solarte, Houston would probably give you Singleton or White.

Cant trade Solarte because the only 3B I would have would be Wallace, Amarista or Steve Lombardozzi. None of those guys are very good defensibly.

Would like to hold onto Myers and Solarte. Would Hedges or Renfroe get me Singleton or White? Or them plus a another peice?
