Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
I was looking for a near complete salary dump, and all I could muster was for Carlos Ruiz and Thompson. I dont need/want Ruiz, so I am just gonna eat Jose's contract and not let him play.
I also wanna apologize, and hope I didnt come off rude in my last response. Was not my intention.Last edited by Instant C1a55ic; 04-23-2016, 03:34 PM.NFL - Denver Broncos

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Hey guys, finally settled on an Angels franchise.
I'm currently early in the season sitting at 12-10, but I'm already thinking about what direction I want to move the team in. I think I'm going to be trying to ship a lot of guys off because the division is extremely competitive (every team but Texas has 11 wins or more). So I'm looking to trade the following players. Not exactly sure yet where I want to trade everyone except most likely that I'm looking to trade Andrelton Simmons to the Pirates or White Sox and Kole Calhon to the White Sox.
Could I get a Josh Bell from the Pirates for a Simmons, or am I targeting too high?
Obviosly I doubt Carson Fulmer is an option for us unless we trade both Simmons and Calhon to the Sox, who could I mix in with someone like an Adam Eaton as a prospect, for just Calhon?
Does Graig Gentry have any value? Hector Santiago? Tyler Skaggs? Matt Shoemaker? Who can I pair and where should I aim them to get a good prospect?
Also planning on trading Yunel Escobar, he's currently hitting .396 leading the MLB. I like Giavotella too much to trade him, unless he's got great value.
Of course hopefully in a week I'll be at the trade deadline and I'll have more concrete ideas, but I'd greatly appreciate it if you guys could help with some suggestions on teams to trade each player to and what letter potential guys I should be looking for.Last edited by MOJOMORRO; 04-23-2016, 04:01 PM.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
I'm looking to re-start a franchise with the Brewers, I'd like to move both Braun and Lucroy. I'm willing to move just about any of my prospects. I'm also open to trading just about any other player currently on the MLB Roster, outside of Gennett. I'm looking for OF, 1B (Platoon w/Carter if Carter is still on team) 3B and P. Can anyone give some guidance on who I could target with these two players? I would really like to tap into the Texas farm system (Gallo, Mazara, Tate, Brinson, etc.). But I'm open to dealing with anyone. I know Boston (in the game) was willing to build a package around Devers for Lucroy.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Just wanted to hear your guys opinions what are your guys opinions on a Jackie Bradley/Pitching prospect swap with the phils for Odubel Herrera.
Had also come up with this deal for the Padres,
Pablo Sandoval, Ryan Hanigan, Josh Rutledge for Matt Kemp?
If that doesn't work I would consider trading for Khris Davis or David Peralta.
Also, what would be the possible landing spots if i was to trade Rick Porcello assuming I acquired another starter?Comment

We just talked about a Lucroy to Texas deal a few pages back. Profar + Luke Jackson was something that was thrown out there. I suggested a package around Luis Ortiz and Matuella. Lucroy's value (to me at least) is somewhere in the neighborhood of a lower end T100 prospect + a fringe low B/high C type of prospect that's sort of a lottery ticket.
You're kind of just dumping three guys on the Padres for Kemp. None of those guys have any value and Sandoval's atrocious contract looks even worse now that he lost the job out of spring training. Sure Kemp's contract is bad, but I'm sure the Padres wouldn't be cool with swapping Kemp for Sandoval unless there was a prospect attached (doesn't have to be anything special).Comment

Yeah, really doubt the Sox give up Carson Fulmer. Simmons would block Tim Anderson, who is almost ready. I'd look for different trading partners, and I'd say to about anyone looking to acquire prospects from the White Sox.
Gentry, probably not unless he's playing very well. Santiago and Shoemaker could have value to any team that needs innings eaters around the deadline.. Skaggs is coming off of TJS, so probably not until he pitches some. If you're determined to trade him, wait until the next year in your franchise.
Escobar hitting like that has some value, but it's limited because he's 33 years old. Any team that needs 3B or 2B help would send a decent (not a top 100) prospect for that kind of production.
Giavotella does not have great trade value, so you're correct there. Wait until you're closer to the deadline to see what each team needs/wants and go from there is my best advice, really.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Trading Simmons pretty unrealistic, given that they just acquired him. Guessing that's not a factor, so I'll move on from that. Josh Bell for Simmons is totally do-able, you're not reaching too high there. They gave up Newcomb for Simmons, so Josh Bell plus another prospect could be done.. Find a bad contract to take back (since PIT doesn't have a ton of money + Simmons makes a lot) and your return could be better.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
I'm looking to move Jacoby Ellsbury in my franchise once things get rolling with the OSFM Hybrid. Obviously, we're looking for a bad contract swap. Two guys come to mind, and I'm curious for thoughts to make the following two trades happen:
Ellsbury for Robinson Cano, willing to take on rest of Cano's contract and/or add/take players to make it happen. Would love to somehow make it include Taijuan Walker too if possible, but not holding my breath.
Ellsbury for Shin-Soo Choo. Would love to find a way to get Joey Gallo as well if there a package that makes sense, but like with Walker, I'm not holding my breath on this one either.
Thoughts?Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Why would the Padres trade Kemp for 3 below average MLB regulars. If they rebuild they would want prospects not your used parts. Including Pablo means a top end prospect would be needed to work through the negative value Pablo has.Comment

Even with that being said I don't think they're looking to move him. They've got a competitive window that's shrinking with Felix also getting older. Don't see a real reason why'd they want to take on Elsbury's deal while giving up Cano. Absolutely no way you pull Cano and Walker though..
Mateo/Judge + for Seattle to think about trading Walker.
Choo is signed for a year less and makes 4 million less per year for 2016 and 2017, then will make a million or so less for the remainder of his deal. Really don't see any reason for Texas to do that swap unless Ellsbury is playing out of his mind (then you wouldn't want to trade him). Just like Walker, Gallo being involved in any deal for Ellsbury isn't fair or realistic.Comment
