I'm looking into a trade of:
    Braves get:
    Soler
    N. Ramirez
    Underwood

    Cubs get:
    Teheran
    Vizcaino
    P. Rodriguez

Do you have any stats ? Don't worry about Ramirez as he was designated for assignment and the Brewers pick him up.

Are you the Cubs or the Braves?

There has to be some limit on how many times they can swap Vizcaino back and forth.

If you are the Cubs, Soler needs to be playing decently well for this to work out.

If you are the Braves, the Cubs would need to have an injury in the rotation to pursue this. The Cubs may have the best rotation in baseball 1-5...if Hendricks and Hammel are doing well in the game, this doesn't make much sense.

As the Twins I finally made a deal. I dealt Plouffe and Bard to the Rays for Souza and Venters. Souza was hitting .160 and not playing much. Plouffe now can be their everyday 3B with Longo now getting hurt.

Not in love with this deal. But understand if Longo is hurt but isn't that what Steve Pearce is here for ?!? With Guyer and Jennings up in age I don't see them moving Souza for this kind of package. Are the Rays even contending ?!?

Plouffe is on his last year and I don't see the Rays bringing him back with them having to sign Longo and Pearce would be cheaper option for them to bring back as well. Plus Souza has 3 years team control which the Rays love due to then ways of not spending to much money.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread

Alright you guys, I'm in my Rockies franchise. It's the beginning of July and I'm sitting 1.5 games out of first place in NL West (I'm currently the 2nd Wild Card team). I'm in need of one more pitcher and an OF that can hit left handed pitchers.

As far as the pitcher goes, I would love to get Robbie Ray, but I have a hard time believing the Diamondbacks would give him up to a team in their division (they are currently 12 games out with a 34-47 record), so my other option would be Sonny Gray.

Gray currently has a 3-10 record, a 4.38 ERA with a 1.40 WHIP. The Athletics are 25 games out of the division, and 22 games out of the wild card, so their chances this season are shot.

I would like to start the conversation with one of Tyler Chatwood/Eddie Butler + Raimel Tapia. That's just my starting point. I could possibly include Ryan McMahon.

Chatwood currently has a 4.29 ERA and 1.26 WHIP.

              What do you guys think?

I think you're looking at Dahl, Murphy or Nunez plus Tinoco. I don't think Chatwood or Butler move the needle and Tapia isn't a headliner

                  Excellent points.

Unfortunately Tinoco isn't on the roster I am currently using. Is there an equivalent to him? Maybe Nikorak, Senzatela, or Peter Lambert? Or will it take someone like Kyle Freeland?

Reached the trade deadline in a White Sox franchise, and looking to make some minor moves to keep contending and add some depth/utility to the roster. I would like to add Nick Martinez and one of Hanser Alberto/Jurickson Profar from the Rangers to the team? Martinez will probably instantly slot in as the fifth starter since my current fourth and fifth starters are really struggling, and I pitch well with him, so I think he'll solidify the back of my rotation. And Alberto or Profar will solidify my bench.

I'm also looking to add a utility fielder to the roster, and would like to pick up one of the three players Chris Coghlan from Oakland, Sean Rodriguez from Pittsburgh, or Alexi Amarista from San Diego. Who would be fair to trade for any of those three?

I know they probably won't cost much prospect-wise, but I need some ideas to make these trades

You would have to give up a lot for Profar...

Pearce is on the DL as well. He is out for 2-3 months. Forsythe is going off but he is their everyday 2B. The main part of the deal was for Bard who is a B potential Pitcher and they love pitching. They are as of right now in contention but Souza was not playin at all with Guyer, Jennings, Dickerson and Mahtook getting at bats.

Brantley > Pederson even after the shoulder injury. Pederson has struggled IRL and i think its because pitchers have figured him out plus doesn't help the Dodgers have 5 outfielders to split time with, even Kendrick has played left for them

Maybe throw in Almonte but he would be a low-mid C due to being suspended for the use of boldenone, and another high C/low B prospect.

Dodgers may bite with the emergence of Kike Hernandez + Trayce Thompson
