- Create a stadium. If that's not realistic, then I'd like to see an expanded list of classic stadiums to choose from. The data about their dimensions, pictures, etc, is all freely available online.

- Real minor-league stadiums. Again, this data is online. It just needs to go into the game.

- More faces for create-a-player. Alternatively (or additionally), the ability to upload a picture and have that become the face.

- in RTTS, I'd like something added where my CAP can't be traded if I chose to be on a certain team. If you throw yourself into the draft, then you can be traded. But if you put yourself on a team, you obviously want to play for that team, and getting traded for Scrubby McScrubberson sucks. Clever saving and reloading might be able to get around this, but it should be a fairly simple addition.

- Expansion mode sounds awesome. +1 to that.

- Real player contracts and team budgets (best guesses based on historical data and projections) in franchise mode.

I was waiting for the devs to create a topic here like they do early in the season to get suggestions. But I guess I'll go all out in this topic.

Must Add Features

+Multiple Squads in Diamond Dynasty. Allow us to set a RHP and LHP lineup for online.

+Designated Hitter rules.

+Complete revamp of Franchise and Online Franchise. I personally don't play the mode but people will riot if this isn't addressed by next year.

+Purchase more servers and increase online stability. Even if it means you have to take money away from another area of the game.


Features that need to be in game, but may be not doable in a single development cycle

+Dynamic Weather

+Double headers, rain outs/delays, cutscenes relating to these (tarp being rolled out, etc.)


Features that would be nice

+New online 9 v 9 mode where online players are player locked onto their created player or a single player on a mlb team.

+Currently, there is no way to play three innings games against online opponents with your main Diamond Dynasty Team. Add an online exhibition mode where you can play 3 inning games against online opponents.

+Improved ball physics. Pitchers not getting hit so often, properly reacting to being hit by a baseball (aka, not immediately recovering and getting an out), more drop in outfield bloop hits, curving grounders to the corners, etc.

+Players being able to react to the environment. Players diving over or into the stands for catches. Players crashing into outfield walls. More physical player interactions with each other. Maybe even consider a physics system in the game years down the road?

+Button that allows us to hurry a throw at the expense of accuracy. More improvements to CPU and player animation urgency.

+I know the MLB does not allow you to have fights in the game but you could definitely push to have more emotion in the game. Coaches angry at calls or under-performing pitchers. Players progressively getting annoyed with repeated bad calls and extremely rarely getting thrown out if they are known for being a hothead. Players in the dugout getting excited during a rally.

+If possible, allow us to bring out our manager and argue calls to improve player morale at the expense of being thrown out. Coaches would have their own stats that determine how much energy they give back to players, how likely they are to get thrown out, etc. This could also be implemented into Diamond Dynasty as new cards.

+Improvements to crowd noise and reactions. If it is a home game in a tense situation, the crowd noise should be deafening to the point where the screen is shaking. The crowd is still not loud enough.

+More challenge play situations (I know this is tough to get in).

+Allow us to hold a button to have our player slowly shuffle in small increments under a pop fly.

+Allow us to create custom shifts.

+Create a Stadium (again, tough to get in and not a priority)

@Takki, I like a lot of your ideas... I'm not in favour of raninouts however unless we're talking franchise play only. A rainout online would just be silly... They have improved the physics a lot but they definately could take it farther. I agree there are waay too many balls that hit the pitcher although I did smoke J.A. Happ in the head with a line drive and he fell over and laid there on the field until he left the game with a concussion which was pretty cool to see.

if players run into each other there should be a collision, it's pretty silly when they just warp on through.

I'd like to see us able to edit our Dynasty Players pitch selection after creation (we can edit everything else)

I'd like to see more variety in packs

Most of all I think I speak for all of us here who play online I'd like to see better server stability, there is nothing worse in this game than having it freeze in the bottom of the ninth or after a 2-out rally to take the lead. They've had this porblem EVERY year, it seems to improve over the course of the season and then come back with the release of the new version!

taking 10+ minutes to find someone to play against is pretty bad too

The ability to create custom batting stances and windups. Break each down to like 4 segments and let you mix and match different parts of windups to have custom animations. For example, as a pitcher you can choose where your hands start, if you raise them, how high your leg kick is, and your follow through. I feel like a game used to do this but I may have imagined it.

Better player models. PS4 is a next gen console. The eyes on players look horrible. If this game had the human expressions and details for example like Uncharted 4 it would be insane. We need another company to make a baseball game to challenge SCEA. It has been stagnant for the last couple of years as far as player models are concerned.

1. Create multiple draft classes like Nba 2k16
2. Ability to type in your name as general manager
3. Bring back ticket pricing and concession pricing
4. Dynamic weather(game could be partly cloudy than a few showers roll in etc.)
5. Way more MLB ALLTIME RECORDS and add team RECORDS like mlb 2k13
6. Each team has their own page that tells the history of each team(how many division titles etc.)
7. A list of past champs, mvp's, cy young's, etc.
8. The ability to edit the score bug where above it says mlb the show 16 so we can type in ESPN, MLB NETWORK, etc. With different font types.
9. Fix the audio for when u put in names for created players so there's no pause between first and last names. It would make it smooth like the real players.
10. Non roster invitees
11. World baseball classic
12. Maybe 2 different broadcast booth commentators. Marty V, Karros and Lyons in one and Harold Reynolds, Joe buck, and John smoltz in another and make it random.
13. Some kind of in game highlight where after or be4 an inning it will cut to mlb network studio where someone would talk about a highlight or score from another game.

runners don't need to be sprinting on every routine ground ball in the infield

in real life they trot and jog not run a 40 yard dash EVERY time out

makes for unrealistic infield singles.

Id be perfectly content if all they did was add minor things but spent a majority of the time an resources perfecting this version. Fix the uniform issues, the player skin issues, add a carry-over roster feature, and a few other things. After that they should focus on going over and correcting things that need fixed. As someone mentioned, PBR messed up the jerseys and made the player numbers look plastic, so fix the pbr and improve it.

I feel this year they didn't go back over the game as close as they should have. Things were left out or just bugged. So I hope they hold back on adding too much new content or other game modes and perfect what they have now.

I say this with full acknowledgment that it may not even be possible as I do not know what goes into the stadium designs, but I would LOVE for new championship banners to be added as time passes for teams that display them prominently in the stadium and therefore captured in The Show.

For example, they added "2015 National League Champions" banner along the left field upper deck at Citi Field for the Mets. If the Mets were to win a division, pennant, or World Series in 2016 in the game it would be amazing if a banner that looks exactly like the ones already there went up for the next season. Ditto for any other teams that display banners. It would add so much to the immersion and it'd feel like time is actually passing. Because right now when a team wins a title the only memory of it the next season is to look at the Team History page.

Along similar lines, adding new retired numbers to the stadium for teams that display them would be cool. Just being able to take set certain numbers to be taken out of circulation permanently works too, though.

Being able to change coach numbers. I'm picky but I hate when I sign a new fake 1B or 3B coach and they wear the same number as my superstar player.

Spring training invites so I can test out prospects or veteran minor leaguers without adding them to the 40 man roster.

I was going to wait for the official thread, but then I thought: What's the harm in writing it here as well? I'm still going to limit my selections to three though.

Uniforms: Let's make this the year of the uniform. I'm not asking for updated player models or jersey physics (based on how that's gone in other games I don't want that). I just want a way to fit ALL modern uniforms in the game, and if possible as many flashback uniforms as well. Custom Uniforms (especially ones where you can use team assets and templates) would be even better.

I know there is the whole slot issue, but is there a way we could pick and choose what goes in each slot? For example, have a section of the front end where we search through all of the uniforms, and then assign the uniforms we want to use into each teams slots. I'm not sure if this will make the difference I'm just trying to help come up with solutions.

Cards Involve Franchise more: I know most franchisers will want to bite my head off for suggesting this but hear me out. I think franchise is a prime candidate for card collecting if it's done right. I think each player should have two temporary card slots and one permanent card slot.

The temporary slots can only be used for sidegrades between attributes or morale. Some examples:

Amped up - Adds +5 to left power, right power and clutch, but -5 to vision and contact. Can only be applied to a player on a hot streak.

Draw of a winner - Lowers a players location morale requirements but raises their team performance expectations.

Little extra time in the cages - Gives a +5 to contact but a -5 to durability

Meanwhile the permanent cards stick to an individual player for an entire season, and even if they are traded you will not get the card back until the off-season. These are the cards that will provide season long boosts, but usually not directly to attributes. Some examples:

Utility player - Removes the fielding debuff when playing a secondary position (there could be multiple levels of this card)

A move to the DH - Slows down offensive regression at the cost of speeding up defensive regression. Can only be applied to players 33 or older.

Ageless - Significantly reduces regression for the season. Can only be applied to players 33 and older.

Buddy system - Applied to two players at once. As long as the two buddies are batting next to each other in the lineup, they will receive a morale boost.

I have more ideas for cards but that is enough for now. All of this could be totally ignored if the franchisers so choose.

Year to Year saves: I know, I know, we already have year to year saves. But during the last stream it seemed like the team was expressing the difficulty of the feature. Or maybe I'm just imagining it. Either way I was picking up some bad juju.

I wanted to burn my last wish on this, because it is honestly the best thing that has ever happened in a sports game and I hope the Devs can continue to find ways to make it work out.

There is a lot of cool stuff on NBA 2K that would work with The Show....importing logos for one. I don't know about anyone else but I have limited artistic ability so creating logos is a challenge. Plus it takes forever. I'd LOVE to see an expansion mode one day. If you play OOTP they could do one similar to that. Or even just a relocation like in 2k. A stadium editor would be cool also. I watched the live streams with the programmers and they say that most of this stuff takes too long for them to put out in time. If 2k could do it I'm sure they could. Overall tho The Show is still a great game.

MLB 17 Feature Wishes?

There's really 2 main things I want to see in next years version and I know I'm not the first person to state it:

JERSEYS:
We need more selection of jerseys, I'm talking every alternate that a team uses whether it's a couple times a year or a 4th of July edition. I'm tired of having limited amount of uniforms and hearing the limited slot excuse...I'm over the excuse just make it happen.

REAL TO LIFE FACES:
I feel like they have done a good job with some players then their are others that are just bad. I feel like they have a problem with white guys that don't have any type of facial hair or anything super distinct about them ie: Buster Posey, Joe Panik, even Hunter Strickland. I know they have way more people they have to make than a game like NBA 2K but it's time to really bring the player graphics to the PS4!

Other than that, of course their are things they can fix or change up but I think this is a great game already but those 2 things would really make playing and seeing the game more enjoyable
