Re: How to Set Up 30 Team Control
I have always played single team franchise. Are there any downsides to 30-team control?
I like the idea of it so I can veto a dumb trade by reversing it, and see other teams managers, etc. But if you're only really controlling one team, are they any things different besides maybe not being able to be fired?Comment

Re: How to Set Up 30 Team Control
Cool thanks. I'm mad I haven't done this a long time ago. I don't really care about GM firing anyways. I would rather have some say on how the league takes shape over the course of my Franchise. I don't necessarily want to control it all. But if I see a horrible trade or some bad logic, it would be nice to step in and fix it, so the immersion factor stays at a high level.Last edited by Vmascarello; 03-27-2017, 09:40 PM.Comment

Re: How to Set Up 30 Team Control
This seems to have changed for MLB 17. I have 2 profiles, and I've set the team I'm using to one profile, and set the other 29 teams to the other. However, the teams do not follow the profile they are on. What I mean is, if I set my team to "Auto" for the roster/lineup/DL/etc controls, the other 29 teams change also. If I change the other teams, so does mine. Am I forgetting something from MLB 16, or is this an actual problem?
Edit for note: I am using a carryover franchise from MLB 16
Thanks for any help you all can provide.Comment

Re: How to Set Up 30 Team Control
I tested this with the injury managemwnt setting. With it set to MLB ONLY, i was getting notified each time a "cpu" profile team had an injury, but I had to make DL moves for them. When I switched that profile to AUTO, they were putting injured players on the DL. so i think it is just cosmetic, and working properly.Comment

Re: How to Set Up 30 Team Control
I think what is happening is it is showing the settings for the default profile for all teams, HOWEVER, the other teams are still following the settings on their assigned profile.

BUT, and it's a very big but, I have discovered another problem. I have played the 2016 and 2017 seasons, and am 2 months in to 2018. When I look at my "GM Goals", it's as if 2016 does not exist. It shows what happened in 2016 under the 2017 line, and it tells me that I lost in the division series in 2018, a season that I am still playing. I worry when the season ends there will be some kind of crash and I will have wasted a colossal amount of time.Comment

Re: How to Set Up 30 Team Control
I hope you are right. The only way I've been able to avoid all notices for the other 29 teams is to set my team (in the cosmetic sense) to "auto". So far, the computer hasn't messed with my lineups or rosters, so you could be right about that.

Re: How to Set Up 30 Team Control
This may already have been covered and if so, I apologize. Last year I remember somebody making a diagram or google doc for manual injuries. It had what players were hurt, what day in your franchise to give them the injury, what injury to give them and how many days to make them out for. It was extremely helpful and I'm wondering if anyone has already done or will be doing the same this year? It tracked injuries from the beginning of spring training until Opening Day so that rosters were 100% accurate. Would love if this could be a thing again and would be willing to help. Thanks.Comment
