The new spin on the ball coming off the bat is fantastic and the new animations look really good also. I think they probably wish they hadn't shown the bunting as it still has issues. I won't comment on the graphics until I see more..

They really need to rehearse and stay focused on the information and examples. Today's stream made me not anticipate the next stream.
Could the stream have been a little more organized? Yes. That said, I enjoyed the stream because any stream is better than no stream. I also thought it was informative. How many of you prefer the old way when you got NO info and NO video until the game came out? Some of you are probably too young to remember that. I am sure the SCEA guys appreciate constructive criticism but they DO NOT have to do this. Everyone should keep that in mind. Looking forward to the next stream.

I think the models in both games have been great for last couple years. 2K game models are particularly good on PC. Fifa too. I'd take those models on THE SHOW any day.

I agree. But I think most who complain complain about the player models. And I have to agree the player models update is long overdue. That said, it is a gorgeous game, particularly on 4k tv.

Obviously graphics are an issue here or we wouldn't be talking about them yet again before a new release. I've been gaming a LONG time and my experience has generally been that when a developer releases basically an updated game with the same engine for 2 or 3 years, they are working on something fresh for the future. Graphics wise, the MLB The show team clearly are going to go with this engine for as long a they can. The game is good, and even great. But it's stuck right now. Maybe we need to push them harder on this. Let them know that this does matter.

Definitely new catcher set-up and receiving animations. Adds a fresh look, and realism.

As far as Progressive Field, some nice improvements. Love the full LED board, the out of town scoreboard in the wall looks so much better, and the tarp down the line finally. (I think I may actually be responsible for that

Looks like they added some stuff to the upper deck in right, but still no names next to retired numbers. And I know I mentioned it before, but the flags need changed, but Adam said he passed it along so hoping for the best.

Honestly, my only disappointment is that it will look and most likely run better on the PS4 Pro. Which I won't be getting any time soon. But it's not like I didn't expect that.

Oh, and the Indians socks are still blue. Now that socks aren't part of the style guide I really hope they can change them to red. But overall its looking great. I can't wait!

I'm wondering whats going on with the Indians helmets. In the vlog and the stream they are wearing matte helmets. I did a quick search and I didn't see anything saying that they are switching helmets for this season.

As far as I know they aren't switching to matte. I hate to be that guy, but it seems like there is a lot of stuff with the Indians that need worked on.

Sorry, just want my team to be as accurate as possible.

It is a WIP so things could definitely change. Pretty sure the devs know about the socks and the flags.

Would think the sock color would be an easy fix.

I know there was a bug in one of the patches last year that made all team helmets matte in the edit player screen. I hope they go back and quality check all uniform elements prior to release.

I'm actually thinking the game is leaking the matte helmets that the Indians will wear for the upcoming season with the block C.

Video games are notorious for leaking upcoming uniform changes or debuts.

Just finished watching the vod. Pretty cool stuff. Was hoping for some more details on the gameplay features (ball physics, humanity AI, etc.)...they seemed to gloss over most of the stuff (I think the technical issues with the mics and camera flustered them a bit, so it's understandle). The animations do look nice and smooth, and I'm definitely digging the new ball physics.

I like the stream, there was lots of new information and great excitement on my part especially the new ball physics. Most people understand " Work In Progress " which was in BOLD on the stream screen but it seems every year there are still those who do not understand this concept.

People complaining about a "work in progress" build of a game on OS? I'm shocked...said no one ever.

I know I am in the minority but much like last year with the showtime stuff, I likely won't mess with retro mode. It's cool they are trying new things but my interest is strictly in RttS. The hit variety will definitely breathe new life into The Show. Interested to see what stats have been expanded on (if any) and if things such as records to be broken, stat overlays, etc have been added.

Also agree the stream could have been a bit more organized. They spent a ton of time on the retro game.

Not a fan of the retro game...will never play it. I mean, played these games 20-30 years ago and not interested in doing so again.

Will never use catcher meter...never use any meters in the game but that's just me.

Really hope to see more of the fine tuning for on the field stuff like variety of hits, OF play, bunting improvements, etc.

Still buying the title of course...but some of the new features are irrelevant to me.

Regarding Retro Mode, seems that these guys approach is the opposite of the Madden football team. He states the idea floated around for a while but was low on the priority list. They put gameplay first, made sure to have the core gameplay mechanics down before implementing arcade easy to play modes.
