Off the top of my head...

    OF Ken Griffey, Jr.
    OF Ken Griffey, Sr.
    2B Roberto Alomar
    1B/DH Jason Giambi
    3B Wade Boggs
    SP Warren Spahn

Have all been confirmed as being in the game this year. So that's 6 out of 30 new legends.

I believe Ramone said somewhere that all the previous legends would be back. But i'm not sure. I could swear he said that on one of these videos.

Anyone know if Quick Counts can be used with Retro Mode? Seems like the perfect place to use it, especially if you want a few more walks and strikeouts (I don't imagine there will be many of these in this mode, walks especially).

Even if they don't touch Retro Mode next year, I hope they don't ditch it either. If we can use it in franchise and with QC no less, that would assuredly feel like a great fast way to get through a game if somebody preferred to.

Retro is a one-off, play now kind of mode - why would you need to use quick counts or try to get a certain number of statistics?

You can use the camera in other modes, but the Retro Mode gameplay itself is simply its own mode from everything I've seen.

Plus I didn't see any option for playing Retro in the Launch Pad in the stream today.

To my knowledge, you can't play Retro Mode in franchise.

I always play my games to try and represent real life. It's not about getting a certain number, it's just about not every ball being put in play.

I don't know how much the contact attributes matter for this mode (regarding swings and misses) outside of timing, nor do I know whether pitcher control has any real purpose in this mode, but I think that playing this mode would be nice with QC is all. I'm guessing it's pretty "easy" to make contact in this mode, so adding that little bit where you'll get more two-strike AB's would be a nice touch.

Really looking forward to use that camera, though.

But its an arcade game. It's not aiming for realism. Just a quick pick up and play kinda mode.

My statement was with the intention that this will be even more "pick up and play," not to mention there would be more diverse outcomes as a result of those kinds of plays.

Drop realism for a moment... if there is a runner on third and less than two outs while I'm pitching, that's a pure strikeout situation. I'd like that strikeout, whether the score is 0-0 or 30-30. If a weak hitter is up to bat with two outs, I'd like a chance for the next big guy to come up if I can get this weak guy on base by any means possible, including the walk.

Forget that I asked anything. Maybe Pixar movies are only for kids, after all.

I'm really hoping the terrible barehanded fielding animation is fixed. The one where your fielder is charging a fairly hard hit chopper, especially with a slow runner, and they decide that instead of making the safe play they want to make ESPN's Top 10.
