Can anyone confirm or deny that the Broadcast option of the presentation style will be more continuous than it has been so far.

You have fast - hybrid - broadcast, how did that work out last year. I don't have MLB 16', and what do you expect it to be like this year..

Definitely, this is true to some extent. But if MVP came out with photorealistic grass and players you better bet your bum The Show team would be working overtime to match that. And they don't seem interested atm, though, small strides are being made here and there. The players are improving very much, but this has also been due for years.

It's crazy that anyone thinks this, and that so many people agree here. SCEA's gameplan would definitely change and react to competition lol. This is how business works. To deny this is to deny reality. Sony is a very conservative company. Some studios have a long leash and some do not. I doubt SD has a super long leash, as in they are allowed to do their own thing in the face of hard competition.

It's always easy to say we would not change when there is no competition. The minute things heat up is the minute things start changing faster. Been there done that. Happens every single time.

But.... there is no competition. So there ya go.

I think if you really feel that it's gotten to this point, thats when you protest and take a break from buying the game until they satisfy your expectations. Which leads to my point, if you say they "don't have any competition", when to me the biggest competition in gaming is selling the gaming world to buy a Baseball game.

Maybe, That's why so many companies have fallen by the wayside, it's not a un-daunting task. It can be of the least enviable business ideas in the industry of gaming. For that reason, I'll always have to trust these guys, they don't have the same luxuries as other sports genre's, that's why is ridiculous to compare them. Surely, Madden & NBA 2K also need competition but it doesn't matter as much because their success is more tied toward the popularity of the sport. Whereas, an MLB The Show title can't deliver anything less than a premium game experience, all around. That's their competition.

For example, I've bought all the F1 3/4 years running because I can't help it. The GPs change, drivers and events, then upgrades from Codemasters so there is different motivation. F1 is that much more global and addictive in contrast with MLB

MLB The Show, I'm only motivated by the greatness of whatever they put into the new games. It's nothing for me, to continue playing a version I'm satisfied with. Hence, why I've avidly played MLB 14 since launch until word of the greatness of MLB 17 starting coming my way. (I felt betrayed by zoneAnalog batting changes in 15'). Before then, I was always skipping one year, MLB 10 - 12 - 14 are what I own since I became old enough to purchase my own stuff. I still remember sneaking from school 9:30am up to an empty Target to buy MLB 10 and go home for the rest of the day. #wildchild

Anyway, the point is like, they already have competition so let's discover another, actually creative motivating factor this time for why decisions are made the way are..

For all those worried about Nats unis being burgundy, grass not being green, mets orange... go here. I took the off my tv. I made simple changes and tweaks to my tv picture settings and they look great

I would love for the commentary to geared towards your franchise transactions and players being sent up or down, how hot the new prospect is or is not.

I would love for Matty V to say

the young Right Fielder in AAA is ripping up the Pacific League, now that Carl Crawford is struggling Harold do you think they might want to bring him up?

The dodgers and Nats just had a major trade sending Harper to the Dodgers and Kershaw to the Nats. Dan, what do you think about the trade and do you think Harper a good fit for the Dodgers?

These are the type of comments that will make Franchise much better, hell they can even comment on other team big trades or hot prospects, it would make me go look up those players.

Did anyone catch the Would Baseball Classic last night?

Well let me just say that Matty V sounded really great and so different then he does in MLB The Show. I am not just talking about his excitement either. Just the way he genuinely speaks sounds so different. After watching last night it is more clear then ever that Matty V is a very good Play By Play man in real life.

Just for what ever reason he sounds more like a robot in MLB The Show!

The good news is Sony has big plans for him in the future they say!

All I want from Matty V in MLB The Show is Lots of Variety, excitement and maybe the most important Realness in the way he talks!

I think a lot of people who havent been necessarliy thrilled with Matt the last few years are going to be pleasantly surprised by his turn in 17. I dont know if his excitement level will reach great heights this year but his new commentary lines coupled with 2 fresh voices beside him are going to go a loooong way IMO

Get Gary, Keith, and Ron for next year (Mets on SNY). They are by far the most entertaining announcing trio there is.

I'd actually pay more for the game.

Everyone is going to have bias towards their home team announcers. Doesn't make them better than everyone.

To be fair, Mets announcers really are top notch and I say that as a Giants fan. You end up listening to a lot of crews when you have MLB.tv (including radio guys) and the Mets guys are some of the best.

And while I live in the Philly market, I can't imagine anyone here being biased towards Tom McCarthy. Thank god they play the radio feed in the CBP bathrooms. lol

I'm not a Tom McCarthy fan at all. Then again, having to take over for a legend like Harry Kalas isn't easy. I wish Scott Franzke and Larry Andersen were on TV but they will never leave radio.

All this talk of commentary has me getting even more excited for my own. I'll be doing some baseball games at the local community college near me. I'll be a one man booth haha.
But anyway love me some Matty V on commentary and I can't wait to hear him this year. He is "The voice of The Show" in my mind.
