I walked off with Jose Abreu and Matt says, "the Good Guys are going to walk off as winners! Yeeeeeee-es!" just like Hawk Harrelson says on Sox broadcasts.

Right as pitcher is winding up Harold Reynolds is telling a story, the batter crushes the pitch, and Matty V says "sorry to cut you off Harold, but etc..." He stops Harold mid-sentence to do the home run call. Sounded so nice.

The weather and retractable roofs now display/function correctly... to the point you can even play in the rain with the roof open. Previously, it just wasn't allowed to rain in those stadiums.

Re: MLB 17: Little Things Thread

This is my first time owning MLB The Show on a PS4. I started with MLB 10 up until MLB 16 then made the switch this year for '17. I knew about all these features, but to actually experience them while playing is much different, and much more enjoyable. From the now added in ball-boys, the new commentary sounds much smoother, and I love the MLB Network ticker, SOTS, player lock and the new edit features in create-a-player.

During a season I play all 162 games, and would occasionally play as the Pawsox, as I live about 15-20 minutes from them. I would create myself and put myself on the team also. Now I can just do player lock on myself and be done in 10-15 minutes.

The new edit features are fantastic! It can be a bit overwhelming, but in a good way. The ability to edit just about everything (paint on fingernails for catchers!) is awesome. Getting the players to have accurate equipment like in real life is just fun to do now.

With these new options, I'm able to base my equipment on what I currently have. I got my cleats just about accurate, my glove is perfect. My last name is in the game which definitely adds to it.

                    So yeah. Little things.

Catchers in the game have their nails painted white, have seen this with Swihart and Leon so far. They have it when they're batter too which is cool to me. Also, this isn't really "little" but I love swinging strikes and how they look in the game. Most of them look like they deflate the batter a bit and I love how they all have different animations for it.

I love how they did check swings this year.

The cut scene check swing replays are still borked regarding the position of the bats and the player's hands. But these are only replays. Plus I've seen players who just finished batting the half inning before, show up in the field prior to the first pitch of the next inning still holding the bat in one of their hands. Not a big deal, just some visual non-game play bugs that seem to persist year after year in the game.

Oh good news. There was an issue in some stadiums where when selecting RAIN and Closed roof it was always nice and sunny outside. Any clue if it's now fixed ?

Maybe that would explain why pitchers are blowing on their hands in the rogers center with the dome closed. Glad they fixed it but they seemingly created a new bug.

Love the catcher set-up animations this year. Also seems like the catchers are framing pitches now to get calls. Deeply.. deeply.. DOPE
