The CPU plays no doubles defense late in the game, I don't remember them doing that in last year's game.Mets/Giants/Knicks/Rangers/Manchester United/Notre Dame Football

RTTS, the CPU bunted to 2B on purpose. Hard bunt. Never seen that before.Favorites:

Re: MLB 17: Little Things Thread
Sorry if I already mentioned, but I made a few roster moves acquiring some former Tigers to get them back on my team. Did you guys know the player profile pics from the past are in and get reassigned? I went out and got Maybin first, but since he was on the team last year I thought nothing of it; just his old profile pic still in the game like always. But then I went and scooped Rajai Davis, and lo and behold his Tigers profile pic shows up too. So now I'm intrigued, I go nab Al Albuquerque just for the hell of it - sure enough, full on Tiger gear in his pic.

Re: MLB 17: Little Things Thread
I'm new to OS and have never really paid much attention to all the "little things" you guys mention here so its likely this has been in the game before but playing as the Rangers I struck out a batter to end the inning and Lucroy turns to his right to walk to the home dugout and flips the ball behind his back to the mound as he kind of hops towards the dugout. Really coolComment

Re: MLB 17: Little Things Thread
I just have to say...for the last two or three years, I've sent in requests with pictures of the Citgo sign that is outside of Fenway Park to be lit up as it is in real life. In previous versions, the sign is just there with no lighting, so at night, you don't even really notice it.
For those who have attended any games in person at Fenway, it is one of the characteristics that gives Fenway its personality and charm. Ironically, it isn't even part of the ballpark, or really the surrounding neighborhood, as it sits a few blocks away but is still visibly due to its size and neon glow.
After receiving a "like" by Ramone in my last request for this in the 'Ballparks' thread, I had a pretty good feeling that it may get done for '17.
Upon completing the install process for the game, I went and started a quick evening game between the Yanks and Red Sox at Fenway as I always do. And to my pleasant surprise, as the game progressed to the later innings, there was the Citgo sign lit up in white horizontal neon lines as it is in real life.
While I'm excited to see this in the game, I'm just as excited about the fact that SDS has chosen to embrace the feedback by the folks on OS and create a collaborative atmosphere. They put themselves out there and really can't be thanked enough for doing so. I work in the software industry and this approach is NOT common at all.
Bravo SDS...Bravo!

Re: MLB 17: Little Things Thread
One small detail missing (though it's a really small complaint)...at Shea (which is awesome to have in the game, and it's rendered nearly perfectly), the 2006 Division Champions banner is not on the RF wall...
But that's a small complaint for a game that has included thousands of small details that make me smile.Comment

Re: MLB 17: Little Things Thread
They definitely have a 24-hour daylight cycle in their game now!
May have happened in '16 as well but I didn't try it then, only in '15.
This may not be a big deal to some, but I always thought this was awesome. I think this is great for several reasons, namely its general system allowing them to make adjustments and updates that could address things more so on-the-fly (supposedly) than having to "redraw" each aspect:
- Changing stadium orientations might be pretty straightforward.
- We could see more start times in the future (down to the hour, half-hour, or heck even minute!).
- Any hopes of mine regarding sky changes may be possible without needing a complete overhaul now that their system is simply in place, though I don't know how it works exactly and what they would have to do to change it.
- Simply, day and night games are not completely different entities... so just the fact that you can start a game that starts in day time and ends in dusk or night is just incredible.
- As you'll see momentarily, morning shots are always beautiful.
Anyway, below you'll see some shots of what this looked like in MLB '15: The Show. The game would simply stay dark even after many game hours pass by:
Spoiler
But now if you check out the inning/time ever, you'll see that change occur:

Re: MLB 17: Little Things Thread
I don't know if these count for "little things" but I had two very memorable moments I had not had ever in a mlb the show game
1)a homer off the left field foul line
2)me accidently hitting a button and finding out that button asks the ump for "time"Brand New Tomba Slider sets ready for Next Gen Versions of NBA,Madden and Fifa Stay Tuned...Comment
