It feels dirty going into those things and watching teams take closers early, while Andrew Miller sits forever with the dreaded "RP" tag. I can probably take him in R8-10 like I did last year and make him my closer. It's just not fun that way.
And here is an example of a post that doesn't really belong in this thread. For some of you newer members, I can't tell you what to do, but this thread has historically been intended for 'neat' and 'cool' little things that people like about the game that others may not have noticed. The complaining is what you put in all of the other threads, lol. FYI.

I have not read this entire thread, so someone else has likely already seen this. But one thing I witnessed last night in a game for the first time in a MLB The SHow release (played the game every year since 2012), was a cut scene of the opposition manager flashing signs from the dugout.

The facial animations are really on point this year. You'll see grimaces and smirks after plays. And sometimes guys will puff their cheeks and blow out a deep breath when stepping into the batter's box.

Here's a short video I took of my RTTS guy in the edit player screen:

It's even more cool if you know who Scott Rohde is, and how he absolutely loves the game!

The humanity A.I this year..while I was playing in RTTS the bases were loaded and a weak grounder was hit to the pitcher so he throws to home to get the first out then the catcher throw to first to get another out..anytime I tried to accomplish this in past series the catcher would just sit at home to get that one out but I'm really liking this new awareness

Anyone else liking the slow motion tag animation for base stealers (close plays) I don't remember that being in 16.

Ha, well the moment I heard the name I opened the case to take out the instruction manual... that didn't exist. Everything is electronic these days.

I know there is a credits section in the menu somewhere, and that's where I was hoping to find the name. Don't know if it will be there, though... didn't want to quit my game to check haha.

Ballpark tagging for home run calls is great. Had Matty V specifically call out the basket when the ball landed in it for a homer at Wrigley.

hit a sharp ground ball to 2B, ball took a little hop, ate him up, and bounced into CF

I had never seen such realistic movement from the ball. Remember how if a fielder botched something, the ball always seemed to fall in front of him or next to him?

Ball physics isn't a "little thing" but it's definitely my favorite addition to the game this year.

maybe it was the only way for them to eliminate the otherworldly tag speed of every 2B in the world in previous editions??

Was playing as the Royals at home against the Mets. Between pitches a heckler yelled out.. "Go back to New York, Mets"

I hit a screaming line drive hit pass the SS to left CF it looked like Simmons might of had a chance to catch it but flew by him. I noticed Mike Trout took a hesitated step anticipating him to catch it before charging the ball it looked very cool and natural and it is something I never noticed in the previous years.

Is there anyway to know if there going to do a patch on the customization of the New Balance cleats in the game?? Not nit picking but it seems that you can't even give some teams and players the realistic style of the 40v40 NB cleats, I'm just wondering if anyone has heard anything about this?? The customizing for the NB cleats are very limited seems like. I just hope the San Diego Studio guys add that into there patch because I know they did some patching with the gear in last years game. Love the game and what it looks like they do an amazing job every year! Thank you:James
