Are there any dips at all in enhanced visuals mode?

If there are it is very slight. I have been playing this way as well. Obviously not the HFR level but it is damn close.

There may be better options down the line, but they sure as heck won't be cheaper.

ASUS is releasing the ROG Swift PQ27UQ later this year, which will be able to do 4K and 144Hz with HDR and G-Sync. It will probably run up around $1500 if we're lucky, though is only going to be 27". The Acer Predator XB272-HDR will look to have very similar features. These are IPS panels, which have slightly raised black levels, but will be FALD. The LG is 60Hz and has FreeSync (less tearing, more ghosting), but is 32" in size. It too will be an IPS panel.

Next year should provide cheaper alternatives, or maybe these will be available around Black Friday. But when Samsung comes around into this market, I'm sure they'll be going for VA panels (better blacks/contrast ratio), but they are starting off with 2K resolution screens. I'm not sure what I want to dive into, but I'm definitely looking at 4K HDR monitors. Not investing in a new television for a while. I just don't know if right now is the time.

The monitor I have right now is cool but I have been playing on my 65 Samsung curve but I want to move back to a monitor that compares or exceeds my tv. I wish you had not of mentioned this because I have a PHAT YEARLY BONUS that's dropping into my account this Thursday and other than making some furniture changes to my man cave I don't have anything I really want or need. Was gonna build a PC but changed my mind. Wonder if this monitor will be all that?

I am not going to play it in 4K though. I want that true 60 FPS gameplay!

Is enhanced visuals 1440p at 60 FPS? Mlb's game play has been 60 FPS since like mlb 09 so I am thinking enhanced visuals would be 60 FPS but above 1080p

It appears to target whatever the framerate is of the base mode. We don't think it is locked 60 fps

While not sure why people think that the game has been 60 FPS in gameplay for a long time now. Cutscenes not so much have most likely been like 20-25. I am wondering if cutscenes are better with the pro then.

If gameplay in The Show has been locked 60 over the last few years than I must be insane because I noticed dips all the time, especially in certain stadiums.

Cut scenes are better on the Pro, yes.

Cutscenes are way better on the original ps4 also

Coors field is tough. I think that if the away team puts in a relief pitcher, that pan across the rocks is brutal. I would not be surprised if that was 20 FPS.

For those buying the Sony x800D, why not spend $300 more and get a UHD Premium tv like the Samsung ks8000? It's bigger at the 49 inch model and you get way better HDR. The input lag is lower too. That's just my opinion.
