Sony XBR43X800D - Think I found what works best for my TV for me anyways, provides an amazing picture and time to dive in to actual gameplay now!

Settings are exactly like rtings.com (minus LIVE COLOR), I finally got it to look great without having to raise "color". I leave it at 50. I did change LIVE COLOR to MEDIUM or HIGH (user preference, not much difference)

My threshold is exactly 20 clicks from 0. 25 worked as well.







Of course screenshots lose some of its "pop" you see in person, but these settings work great for me. Also noticed Twitter lost some of my resolution it seems, since they aren't as big.

Yeah anywhere from 15-25 clicks will work fine. You can try 15,20,25 see if you see any difference. After so high they start to get the wash out look because it's meant for TVs with more nits but this seems to be the sweet spot. I've been using 20 now and prolly will stay here.

The craziest thing I ran into tonight, I have a 4K HDR set and out of the box I had HDR on and HDR intensity Maxed, and playing on Ev mode , I was looks good just though things were a bit to bright. So tonight I said let me see had bad it look when I just turn HDR mode off, and holy crap the game looks so much better, I don't get it guys, can someone else try this and tell me if they see why I see...

Saw where ODogg mentioned you need to be in the main menu to alter the video settings or it will mess up the image. This seems to actually apply to all settings. Just changing classic to meter pitching will alter it too.

So there has to be some serious bugs going on with HDR.. obviously the in game settings screw it up... but now my HDR isn't even working. I went from having gorgeous colors and lighting to just bland. Like not even washed out.

So I went out of game and changed intensity slider to half way to see if it would wash out colors as before, looked exact same as my 20 clicks. So I maxed it out, looks exact same.

If it was working, it would wash out my colors again, but nothing is happening. This is aggravating as hell. I've restarted the game. Restarted the console and my tv even shows 4K HDR running.

I actually just turned HDR OFF and the game looks much better.....something is not right with the HDR

Everything just looks crisper, more vibrant with HDR off and playing on Enhanced Visuals

My PS4 Pro is still displaying the game in 2160p to my Sony X900C and I'm much happier now with HDR off

I haven't had any issues with HDR at all knock on wood. Ever since I left mine max it hasn't changed.

Nope......there is 10x the pop in the picture, the colors, the lighting, etc without HDR on

I had not tried with HDR off for a single second since the game released and I have wasted so much time tinkering with it and tinkering with my TV

I finally decided to try with it off and I could not believe the difference, I won't even consider turning HDR back on unless there is something official that solves whatever is going on......so happy I decided to turn it off
