The hit variety is so sensational this year. Ball physics are outstanding. Wow.

The best Show ever.. Tons of new additions and noticeable tweaks to gameplay which make it a joy to play. Looks better visually this year too. I own just about every major sports game since the mid 1980s and this is currently the best and most well made game the sports game genre market has ever produced in my opinion. It's an astonishing game, it really is.

I am looking forward to playing this for the next year. I've always loved these games but this year is especially a masterpiece from the guys and girls at san diego studios. Well done!

Dig it. Physics, graphics, gameplay are all better ... and I played the hello out of last year's game.

Happy they got they white trim on White Sox 70s light blue jerseys. Though they didn't wear NOBs on them. I like it this (sorta wrong) way.

One interesting thing in my continued franchise is that it looks like anyone who isn't in the MLBPA any more has their name changed. Stats and jersey # stay the same but looks change.

Not only is the hit variety sensational, but the game is much better balanced imo as a result. I'm seeing a more appropriate number of hits per game for both me and the cpu. In the past I felt like it was either too high or low and too many hits consisted of HR's and rocket singles.

Maybe it's my style, but I think across the board on difficulty the CPU hits much better this year. I used to pitch gems on Legend last year, and now even on All star or Veteran my pitcher gets touched up a bit. Change ups seem to hang up and stay in the zone a bit more too, and when that happens they get hammered.

I tend to agree about the CPU hitting better, but I also feel like the pitching interfaces are more unforgiving. If you make a mistake with the meter on HOF, it's usually either going to be well outside the zone, or right in the middle of the plate to get mashed (and the CPU doesn't miss many of those on HOF).

Whatever way it's done, the game does feel tougher this year.

I have noticed that you need to be VERY careful when pitching, and if you are using Classic Pitching on HOF, you want to make sure you mix in some pitches that are un-hittable.

Not only does this make for realistic pitch counts, but you'll also be rewarded with some winnable battles if you set pitches up.

I have forever asked for a glimpse into the pleasuredome of how they figure out the algorithms for the CPU batting tendencies, but when you paint strike one and strike two on the outside black, and then throw the 0-2 pitch up at shoulder height, if the CPU takes that pitch, you'll more often than not get the batter to chase the 1-2 on soft stuff down in the dirt.

This is the one game that I plan my attack on the mound just like I used to plan my attack.. out on the mound.

That pitcher/batter battle all by itself, is worth its weight in gold for me.

CPU manages the bullpen/late innings MUCH better now. That's a huge addition that I am surprised wasnt advertised more.

I have only played RTTS, but so far the ball physics are spot on I feel like. Even when I hit a ball off the wall it looked like it reacted with back spin when hitting the ground. I also hit a ball down the line over the first base bag that then curved into the outfield corner which made me feel like I was watching a real game for a second.

Harold reynolds is an improvement to the commentary but i dont like how they took away the option to toggle individual commentators volume off. I wanted to turn off matt v and leave the other 2 commentators on.

Played my first full game today Yankees @ Rays (me). Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience (note: I don't like baseball) and I think I'll easily be playing this for 6 months straight. Game was tied at 4 going into the 8th when my reliever gave up 3 runs and we couldn't respond losing 7-4. I won't call this the greatest sports game ever, but it's really good and I'm glad I preordered it.

This isnt going to be an overly insightful impression because Im in love with '17. By far the biggest year to year gameplay improvement ever in the series, the ball physics are off the meter. The gameplay overall is just alot more fun, between how authentic the game feels and the awesome visuals running on "Enhanced Visuals" on the Pro. The framerate is vastly improved, its as smooth as I've wanted it to be for years now. The commentary is much improved between awesome "stadium tagging" lines, cool batter vs. pitcher stats (especially in Franchise as their dynamic) and a better overall fluidity with this years additions in the booth. The MLB package is beautiful and adds a ton to presentation and overall immersion.

I honestly cant say enough about this game. I could go on and on because thier are 10 more things that I think are improved dramatically from last year. Obviously, their are still a few minor bugs like Tigers Road jerseys, a few clunky OSD things like when they show IF's names on certain shifts, and couple others. But to me, this is the best sports game Ive ever played and I am grateful to San Diego for putting so much work into it.

Really disappointed that you can't see the opposing SP's handedness in Conquest. It's a single player mode and shouldn't have the same PvP limitations. Makes platoon DD players pretty useless. I thought they said it was going to be in online matches only, I guess they consider single player DD as online.
