This so much!!!!

I am really happy they added back in some throwing back to the pitcher animations and gave us full broadcast presentation fans a compromise. I realize their telemetry over the years showed a large majority “x” through cut scenes and what not, but this season I have not been skipping at all because we are getting a nice balance of batter step out’s and step back in’s as well as the catcher throwing the ball back.

Presentation is the best it has been since MLBTS 11 which was the last time we had full broadcast mode and the since defunct Real Time Presentation.


Kudos SDS for listening to us and giving some of the "lazy day at the ball park" vibe back!!!!

In other awesome impression news for the game I am literally seeing new fielding and throwing animations every game.....it is simply marvelous.

Really? I must be doing something wrong then. I hardly ever get to see the cuts of batters stepping out. They used to show little camera cuts between every pitch, but waaaay more often this year, as soon as the pitch is made the game does this little flash, and we're already ready for another pitch. And this is with presentation on broadcast.

I wish they'd add in a slow mode. With no cuts whatsoever, and if a game lasts an hour and a half, oh well.

It would be nice, but still Broadcast is slightly better than last year which, to be honest, is a surprise and in a good way. Too bad you can't play in Hybrid/Broadcast with your friends even if it was advertised during the live streams. It makes no sense since you can play Hybrid in Battle Royal or Ranked games ( where guys want to play as fast as possible to open packs ).

One "bug" that exists since '15 in quick/sportscast manage.
Runner on 3rd, 2 outs.
Batter hits a single.
Runner stays on 3rd.

Not sure how this could happen IRL. With less than 2 outs I could understand it but not with 2 outs.

As an avid user of the pitcher/batter analysis information I would love for this to be a "hot" button on the d-pad.

Not a fan of having to pause the game every time I want to look at it

I noticed this also. I remember it didn't skip shortly after a pitch on the older MLB games.... it would sometimes be around 15 seconds between pitches and I could watch more of the batters personalized routines until they were ready to step up. Some of the animations were just fun to watch . I enjoyed that realism . I guess they didn't think people cared about it so they sped it up . but with the exception of this minor nitpic I really don't have much to complain about, I am so happy I have this game

The fielding urgency is appropriate. On a groundball, Zobrist quickly threw to Baez, who quickly threw to Rizzo to double up Starling Marte. However, when Miguel Montero hits a ground ball to 2nd, the guy orders Domino's (Nevermind that they sell pizza at the ballpark), does his taxes, settles an argument with his wife about leaving his jeans on the floor, and ties his shoes before finally throwing to first to get the out. I wonder how long it took for SCEA to put those animations in? The way the Domino's guy frowns after getting stiffed on his tip was hilarious.

It's what we call splendid.

I enjoyed it so much as well. Yes I was pressing X often to skip some animation but I had the option to just look at it and relax.

Russell said they look at the telemetry and found out most people were X'ing out so now everybody have to pay for it.

Honestly I don't understand the logic since we already have Fastplay and Hybrid modes.

CPU just used a little league double steal on me. Saw the guy stealing 2nd, launched the ball down there and before I knew it Kendrys Morales was waltzing on home from 3rd base.
