I haven't gotten to play too much(Zelda BOTW is taking up my time) but I did manage to play a game against the CPU on All-Star in DD and I really liked it. I noticed the XP isn't as much after every half inning during the game which is a bummer. I so wish we could import our team uniforms from 16. I am dreading doing it all over again.

Captains are gone. There is now a 'ticket counter' in their stead. The post game interview didn't add much in my opinion, but it seems gone, now Matt just says some more varied stuff in the post game.

Isn't that just to see previous pitches? I should of been more clear with my question, sorry. Say I bring in a reliever and want to see what pitches he possesses and the top speed for each one of those so I know if he has a high speed fastball or be looking for a knuckle ball.

I want to say it was pretty easy to access the last few years but I can't find it this year

theaub is correct. To see what pitchers an opposing pitcher throws, you press R2. This will bring up his pitches and in order from his best to his worst, as well as the previous pitches in an at-bat or a previous at-bat.

I'm 99% sure that pressing pause will show you the opposing pitchers pitch arsenal as well as the top speeds.

Is the MLB network presentation a setting or is it listed under broadcast in settings?

It is located as a theme.

Prior to the start of the game when you see the weather and such, you'll notice there is a theme selection. Here you can choose Theme 1 or 2, or MLB Network Presentation.

I do not see that glove anymore. The only thing that happens when I hit R2 before throwing a pitch is seeing the suggested pitch, not the location. I have looked but do not understand what setting controls this. How do I bring the suggested location back onto the screen?

I can't say whether the API broken or not, since I play with the glove OSD off. It should be noted that it is pitching difficulty dependent. For HoF and higher, you'll only get the hand signal, when API is set to DEFAULT. You may need to go into settings and set it to ON, in order to get the location OSD to show up all the time.

                    Potential stupid question:
How do you you know if you have a card that is a mission starter? I know I got a gold and diamond mission starter cards as preorder bonuses but what about getting these cards in standard packs? Is there is a logo to look for?

I'm into July and no training sessions as were in the previous RTTS modes. I'm assuming it has been nixed in favor or replaced by the "real time" banter between manager, agent, etc and the player. However, replaced would not be an accurate word since there is no (at least I haven't seen it yet) training points to be earned in those cut scenes or anywhere else that I can see. It does say that my player's training was "recent" on my dashboard but I think they are referring to my using points that I earned in-game to upgrade my player. I for one will miss the training sessions.

Does this game heavily rely on internet connection?

Just found out I can't get wired internet to our house like Cox or AT&T. So I'm looking for games that do not cut half the game off without internet connection.

For example, found Mass Effect Andromeda won't let me play without internet, because I have downloaded gear sets.I know how I can fix that though.

                          You go to:

                          Missions
                          Diamond Dynasty

Then you will scroll pretty much all the way to the right, to:

                          Player Spotlight.

I only have one card like this right now, a rookie Zack Greinke that I got through the ticket menu.

I assume player epics will function semi-similarly, but I haven't got anything there yet.

An internet connection is required for much of the game, even for aspects related to standard offline modes. When playing the game in any mode, you'll try to connect to the servers in order to collect post-game rewards and such.

Without an internet connection, I would assume you can't play Diamond Dynasty, which is a large part of why some people play the game (I forget the numbers, but RTTS and DD are the two most popular modes).

You won't get updates either, so the game would be, as it is, the entire time, and you also wouldn't get roster updates. This can be frustrating, but doesn't make the game unplayable, it's just a handicap on how much your game can change.

If you are a Franchise or Career (RTTS) guy, then as far as I know, you should still be able to play it fine without an internet connection, I just wouldn't recommend it.

Good to know. I'm intrigued in the RTTS for sure. I primarily play Madden and a player career mode is a joke.

So the franchise mode does not require Internet? One year Madden didn't have a offline franchise mode, so just gotta make sure haha
