Re: MLB The Show 17 Q&A

So the Indians have Andrew Miller as their #1 starter in my Franchise. I'm not using 30-team control, is there any way to fix this?

And wtf is wrong with AI roster management in general? See this post as well:

Kyle Gibson (MIN, SP) just started against me two games in a row; this on the heels of some Rodriguez guy (BOS, RP) going 5 in relief and then starting the next game.

I put Teheran on the DL and since my pen was gassed I called up a reliever. That left my rotation with four starters. I sent the reliever down and called up a starter when Teheran's turn came up again, but now the calendar is off by a day. My last game, it had Colon as the scheduled starter even though it was Dickey's turn.
Man I friggin wish. On my personal wishlist. I used to just move people around in the order to match up but now with morale... gah! So annoying.

        Umm -- neither.

Base running speed is determined by a player's speed rating only.

At least I think this is true.

All you need to use to steal 2nd is left stick towards 1st and tap L2.

So the reason your batter is swinging on all attempted steals of 2nd is because you are "telling" him to do so by hitting circle when you don't need to.
I will take a screenshot and upload, but my game says L2+O when my guy is on first base?

Keep in mind I am playing on the dynamic difficulty mode.

I'm not sure about that. When I tap the player's corresponding button they appear to speed up while running.

I'd love to see that image. And I don't think dynamic difficulty mode has anything to do with what the base controls of the game are.

Maybe placebo effect? But if so then I guess you answered your own question.

I am using Classic guess pitch as I want a bonus but not a major one and guess rarely...but if I guess fastball and get fastball, the ball blinks red which completely throws me off on the trajectory it is coming. I remember being able to turn this off before but don't remember - I only want the audible alert that I guess correctly. Can anyone help?

I'm glad you requested. Zoom in real good so you can see it too.

P.S. when the runner takes off the icon does not have the fire ring around it. When I tap the corresponding button the controller vibrates and the fire ring goes around the icon and the player starts running fast.

Does that issue still exist where a .150-.200 batting average player makes the All-Star team over a better player? I want that to be fixed already. I see at least 1 .200 hitter make it every season I play in because of this problem

Turning Warm Up pitchers off. It has them come in warm, but they aren't fully warmed up correct? Seems like they are half warm. So should I still get them up the bullpen?

As for the image -- I've never seen that before as I've always seen and used LS towards 1st + tap of L2 to steal 2nd.

Not necessarily, my initial question was if tapping or holding causes the player to continuing running fast or if it's just a one time speed burst.

My first thought is... You need a bigger TV.

I've seen this pop up. It never worked for me either. I switched baserunning styles.
