I'd value Colome pretty highly as a guy who seems to have settled into relief really well. The Nats could be pretty desperate around the deadline with not much of anything likely to be available given who's up for FA this offseason. Certainly no Miller/Chapman combo like last season. If Colome is showing the same level of production as last year, I'd probably want a mid-high B to start, maybe another low-B/high-C prospect or two you find interesting or a good fit. Colome likely isn't good enough to get you Robles (unless he's flat out Miller-level dominating), but what would you be looking for? Pitching?

As for Cobb, I always lean on the side of waiting when it comes to injuries. Right now, he's probably worth a flyer prospect. Nobody is going to want to pay big for a guy who might never be the guy you're selling him as. If you can wait out, let him rebuild some of that value, he might be worth quite a bit as a rental in the offseason or next deadline. Just my two cents anyway.
Maybe Fedde and Carter Kieboom for Colome. And I agree with above. You have to let Cobb come back and perform before he has the value he should have.

Im coming up with a value of right around 100-110 on stanton using a starting WAR of 4 since that has kind of been the avg throughout his career with the last two seasons being lower than 4.

Fedde was going to be my suggestion as well, if pitching is what he's after.

The Rays already have Snell, De Leon and Honeywell who are right on the edge of major league level, with a few other like Hu just a bit behind, how far along are Fedde and Kieboom? (I don't know the Nats farm at all)

Seems very unlikely, but would they be willing to let Glover go, if I added another player to Colome, so I'd have a ready replacement?

That feels around the number it should be. And a 60 FV hitter is roughly worth $60 so Torres plus Sheffield plus something else should get it done

Yeah, some people like Juan Soto a lot but I just don't know a lot about him

It starts with Sheffield and a top 5 prospect (Torres, Frazier, Judge). Throw in a development power arm (I like international players I don't have to pay a bonus to sign) and we're in the ballpark.

Fedde's not far off developmentally, but had just TJS so that would stunt him quite a bit. Kieboom is a prep hitter, so he'll need a bit of seasoning.

I don't see why they would say no to replacing Fedde with Glover, though I won't pretend to know whether or not the Nats are super, super high on Glover. I know he's closer to major league ready, but Colome could close for them right now, so if that's more your speed I'd say go for it.

Cheers, definitely some players to look at when the rosters drop. Probably aiming to seriously compete in my 3rd or 4th season, so I probably will be leaning towards players as close to ready as possible while moving out the players with 2 or 3 years left

Paul Goldschmidt and AJ Pollack for Rosario and Dom. Smith? What do you guy all think. I'll probably do it regardless, but I'm interested in the "media reports" of who, if anybody, got fleeced.

The Dbacks get fleeced in that deal. I know Rosario is a big prospect but he isn't enough alone for Goldy and Pollack has a ton of value on his own

Yeah, not even close. That might work for AJ without me looking up his true value (still off, see Eaton deal) and way far and away not even close for Goldy. He is going to require a lot of solid pieces to make the Backs even consider dealing him.

Well you guys make me feel better because I'm actually the Diamondbacks.

I was going to take Duda and Bruce for salary in the deal as well

You need to get something like Rosario, Smith, Lugo and Matz for Pollack and Goldschmidt. There would have to be at least one of the great Mets young pitchers

Cool. I actually threw in Pollack after Google results had so many people hyping Rosario and the Mets saying he was untouchable. While I never buy the "untouchable" talk for a prospect unless it's a Harper or Strasburg type dude, I tried to make it fill all the Mets hole and dramatically boost championship odds for the next 3 years.
