Frazier would be pushing for rental Darvish at the deadline (imo), however good/great Yu could easily fetch Rutherford and average Yu could net that other package.

Frazier I can't see the Yankees dealing off.

I'm talking like Yu pitching better than Kershaw. So highly unlikely for sure but just wanted to mention it as a top 1% option

AI just offered me Zack Cozart for Justin O'Conner. I turned it down. Didn't make much sense for me. I already have Adames, Duffy, Miller, etc. as middle infield guys. Plus, Cozart is another right-handed bat with an expiring contract where I have a combined 12 yrs control over Duffy/Adames.

Just thought I would share because it was an odd offer all-around from the AI.

I agree I like the idea of sending him to Tex. What can I be looking for in a return ??

          Jose Abreu .312/.339/.555 11 hrs 39 Rbis

Tex is leading by .5 a game. Napoli is hitting .250/.390/.474 5 Hrs , Gallo is hitting .209/.299/.388

With all this included I'd say a top 50 prospect and a lower end 100 if not just a flier type for Jose would suffice.

How does Leody Taveras and Brett Martin sound? For some reason i feel it's to much but Leodys is bearly a top 50 on the list and I didn't see Brett Martin on it . I like that he's a hard throwing lefty thought

I want to make sure we know J.Abreu will still have 2 years of club control left through arbitration. I know his WAR has dropped each of his 3 years (5.3, 3.0, 1.6) and Steamer has him at 1.6 for this year (along with turning 30 this year) but I wanted to make sure we knew he still has 2 "cheap" years coming before hitting FA. His UZR/150 has a slight negative number attached to it as well.

I tried to give some bad to balance out his remaining club control but obviously I'm a fan of his and want to make sure we set the appropriate value. If all of this is 'known' then I'll butt out.

Cheap? He's making over 10 million right now, and could make more through ARB...

All of this was calculated in already, I did an assessment of him pretty early on in the thread

I'm going to chime in here as someone who is bias but also really tuned into the Rangers system.

Unless Texas is a very, very viable threat for a World Series, they're not buying. At least not at the perceived cost of Abreu. The Rangers went out and got Taveras at 16 years old for 2 Mill because they truly believe this kid is a future star in the OF. We haven't had a prospect that has had so many updates written about him since the glory days of Profar being a prospect. So while Taveras might grade around 50, Texas values him much higher.

I did deals for Hosmer in my Franchises because the value was in a place in which I didn't feel like I was gambling away Texas' future. Guys like Profar and DeShields are movable because Texas has Taveras coming up the pipe in the next 4 years. I just really don't believe that Texas would do that deal. As much as I respect Abreu's talent. If Texas is really killing it in this specific Franchise, maybe you can get away with this deal.

If we're just talking value, sure it's probably there.

But if we're talking real bonafide realism, Texas doesn't do this deal. Taveras and Mendez are borderline untouchable in our farm right now unless it's for a serious game-changer. Abreu is the man but I don't think he's "the man" for this kind of deal. That's just my opinion. They're not untouchable because I (or any other Ranger fan) perceive them as being better than anyone else in the Top 100. They're untouchable because if you deal them, your well is dry. We're already concerned enough about the well. Again, I'll add that I have some Ranger bias here. But I also engage in daily conversations in various Ranger outlets about the trajectory of this team, so I feel like I have a little bit of knowledge on this subject.

There was a reason for me initially approaching this thread to deal Rangers as opposed to buying.

Kemp and Markakis are also having pretty good seasons so may be able to get a couple hot dogs for them, but really just looking to shed salary to go after Machado or Harper in the offseason.

Eaton is approx. +40mm surplus better than Inciarte so he's a full step down from that type of deal. You're looking at a similar headliner (top 10 position RH/LH SP) but then a lower end top 100 and a project. Depending on the club, you might pry an MLB ready now type player with a good piece. You're selling, who's buying?

You're going to have to eat Kemp's contract and as much as I love Markakis, he doesn't even get you mustard with that dog.

P.S. This feels familiar...or am I just lumping Eaton/Pollock/Inciarte together and talking about similar deals?

Looking to dump some BP arms near the deadline.

LHP - Brad Hand and Ryan Buchter
RHP - Kevin Quackenbush and 1 of Maurer or Capps.

Prospect value = 0. Butcher is probably the best of the bunch and even he is questionable without a line (though I'm higher on him than the rest of your guys). Most teams that would need bullpen help have a farm full of these kind of guys. Even if you found a buyer, you're looking at 'cash considerations' types of deals.
