Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Here are the trades i made with the pirates:
Twins receive: Daniel Hudson, Josh Harrison and a top prospect (using some roster from the vault)
Pirates Receive: Brian Dozier, Miguel Sano, Jorge Polanco
i know this trade is a steal but for some reason the cpu wanted to do it. bad trade logic. i was only looking for Dozier or Sano. Twins were out of contention and ended up 66-96
Pirates Acquire: RP Josh Edgin
Mets Acquire: 3B David Freese, 2 prospects Mets finished 9 games out of WC spot
Pirates acquire: Derek Dietrich
Marlins acquire: Will Craig, Yeudy Garcia, another prospect Marlins finished 16 out of WC spot
Pirates Acquire: RP Andrew Chafin
Diamondbacks acquire: RP Antonio Bastardo, prospect Diamondbacks finished 14 out of WC spot
i feel like these three are somewhat realistic. I also made a spring training trade to get Cam Bedrosian from the Angels but i can't remember who i traded for him.
My 1-7 in the lineup all had double digit home runs
CF Marte
RF McCutchen
SS Kang
2B Dozier
1B Dietrich
3B Sano
LF Polanco
C Cervelli
In the offseason i signed cutch until he is 37 and Cole until he is 34. This lineup is my starting lineup in 2018 too.
my bullpen was struggling so
Pirates acquire: Jonathon Broxton
Cardinals acquire: Josh Edgin
Pirates Acquired: Brad Boxberger, prospect
Rays acquire: Cam Bedrosian
here is the blockbuster trade:
Mets acquire: Tyler Glasnow, Alex Avila
Pirates acquire: Steven Matz, Kevin Plawecki, prospect
I currently sit .5 games up in the wildcard. my offense is producing for the most part. my bullpen is underperforming still and Nova has been subpar along with Cole.
It is July 30th, what should i do?
Rotation:
Cole-93
Matz-88
Taillon-80
Kuhl-82
Nova-82
Bullpen:
Schugel-79
Rivero-79
Nicasio-81 (struggling)
Chafin-77 (struggling)
Boxberger-81 (struggling)
Broxton -82
Watson-87
Lineup:
Marte-89
MCCUTCHEN-87
KANG-79
SANO-86 (struggling)
POLANCO-92
DOZIER-86
DIETRICH-77
CERVELLI-83
Bench:
Plawecki-75
Jaso-73
Mercer-69
Jorge Polanco-76
Gosselin-74Comment

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Not sure if anyone has approached this yet. From a Braves fan, there would be a cold day in hell before we let Freeman go. But say it happens, knowing and following trades from Coppy(our GM), it would have to be a serious haul. If we are selling and our rebuild has failed, we would keep doing what we are doing and it would probably take 2 high potential pitching prospects, plus either a top 3B or C top prospect or both, plus a MLB ready starter. Cash would probably be included, not that that matters here. And probably more. The trade would obviously have to happen with a contender who has a great farm system, not sure there too many options out there. Freddie is a god in Atlanta and who I think is a future MVP. They only way we would let him go is if he hit a serious slump (talking mendoza line and 8 HRs lol) or if our plan completely failed and we blow it up again, which is possible but a trade in that scenario probably wouldn't happen until 2019 or 20.Comment

Being a non-Braves fan, I dont think I would pay anywhere near that for him. He's got a decent contract so that helps a little bit as well. Maybe a couple B's and a C?Comment

Reds trades: Year Two
1. Get Wil Myers for Winker, Aristides Aquino, & SP Manzanillo(2As 1 B)
2. Get Adam Eaton for Adam Duvall, Eugenio Suarez & Leury Garcia
Good move? Bad move? Realistic?Comment

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
My hometown team is Miami I love them but Im also a HUGE cardinals fan and once OSFM rosters drop Im looking to start one with the cards.
Im looking to get some speed and thought of dee gordon would that be possible?
Cardinals have ton of pitching to offer which Marlins lack and Cardinals can use an everyday 2B. If not any other suggestions to get a speedy guy? maybe jonathan villar?Last edited by mvp05; 04-05-2017, 08:44 PM.Comment

What's more, I think STL is fine running a platoon of Wong and Gyorko. I think a better plan would be trying to get an OF with speed, preferably one who could move Piscotty (whose arm rates badly in RF) to left and let Grichuk be a reserve OF (30% K rate and .289 OBP don't cut it for me as a starter).
As a flexible solution, you could MAYBE look at Chris Owings. He probably isn't corner OF-qualified in this game, but ARI is trying him in RF now and they seem to have trouble getting him into the lineup because of other players.Comment

Plus Allard plus more. Archer costs around the same as Sale

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
This offseason the value was DeLeon plus. So a 55FV pitcher seems like the floor. But there would need to be another decent prospect thrown on top. Just depends on which team is targeting Dozier
My best guess on Archer is Rodgers or Dahl plus Pint plus another piece like Marquez or Tapia. Its going to be really expensive.Comment
