I get that you want your favorite player from your favorite team but the return to the Mets would be astronomical. I'm talking your best...Bellinger +++ and even then, it just wouldn't make sense as why would the Mets ever give him up unless a WS title was on the line and would they be in that position without him?

In a video game scenario we could literally empty one of the better farms in the game but the surplus value calculations alone hurt my brain.
Yeah I hear you they have a surplus of OF so I thought maybe I could thow them Bellinger and a few other top prospects for him. Maybe a 3 for 1 deal.

Mets have Michael Conforto up for grabs a week into my Braves franchise, no idea why, but what would it take to pull him?

Thanks guys! Both definitely interest me. What is the price for them? B or C prospects for Spangeberg? I would think Perez would cost a little more than Spangeberg? Thanks for the suggestions.

A poster brought up Bourjos a few days ago and while I believe TB gives him every opportunity to stick, past experience tells me he doesn't. That doesn't mean he couldn't fit your needs though.

Davis is intriguing for a reunion. Bourjos is interesting but I don't know if he's much of an upgrade over Carrera in LF. Much better speed but not much else and he's a RHB while Carrera is a LHB. I will take a look at him when I load the game next.

A whole lot. There's a couple posts right above yours talking about him but going to the Dodgers. And then you have to add in that the Mets wouldn't really want to see Conforto traded and succeed on a division rival

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread

So disaster has struck my Red Sox franchise because Andrew Benintendi and Chris Young have both suffered season ending injuries within two weeks of one another. I don't want to continue a push for the pennant with Castillo and Selsky splitting time in the outfield so I am looking to make a trade for a rental outfielder. I've identified 4 guys who fit that bill on teams out of contention.

              Carlos Gonzales: .278/.356/.422 13 HRs

              Andrew McCutchen: .258/.330/.371 12 HRs

Rajai Davis: .219/.264/.325 with 32 SBs (Yikes on that slashline)

Melky Cabrera: .273/.312/.557 with 15 HRs

(I have already traded away Christian Vasquez and Teddy Stankiewicz)

I've searched through the forums as McCutchen has come up a lot but it always seemed to be in deals that were involving three teams and a bunch of other valuable pieces, so I struggled to work out any sort of price for him, especially just the 2 months.

For Rajai Davis I'm thinking just a low C would work because he's utterly hopeless, but I think I could do something with his speed if I can get on base with him.

For the other three would something built around Henry Owens work?

              Henry Owens SP (B)
              Roniel Raudes SP (B)
              Bobby Dalbec 3B (C)

Is that a fair price? I'm really not great at trying to gauge value and would appreciate some help, thanks.

Henry Owens isn't headlining anything other than a minor league rotation. Melky would be the cheapest and you could probably get him with that offer. But you couldn't get CarGo or Cutch for an offer like that. It's kind of hard because the Red Sox has 3 elite prospects then a bunch of JAGs (Just A Guy)

Swihart is an interesting piece but you said you already moved Vasquez.

If you are trading for Carlos Gonzalez they wouldn't take Henry Owens. To start a trade with the Rockies for CarGo you would have to start with Eduardo Rodriguez and then add Sam Travis with Ben Taylor

Hey There, The Mets are highly unlikely to trade Conforto as is with Granderson and Bruce contracts up after the season. However even if they would trade there future corner OF they would never do it to the Braves. Look back at the history teams rarely trade future talent in division.

Hey thanks for the response. Yeah, that was kind of my worry, I'm not moving Devers,Groome or Travis so in terms of what I can offer from the minors it's all pretty slim. If you think that's a good enough offer for Melky then I think I'll go ahead and do that. I don't want to lose Groome or Devers for the sake of a 2 month rental.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately that's far too rich for my liking. Trading Erod would open up a new hole in my roster so it wouldn't really solve anything.

Red Sox Franchise in May and I am currently trending downward. 15-25. If this continues I will look to restock the farm. Below are some players I am wondering what prospect value they have and also wondering what type of team would want them? I don't intend on trading all these people, but just want to understand possible returns. Thanks.

You have a whole crew here of "yeah, I guess he'll do" kind of guys. You might get a taker for guys like Kimbrel or Pomeranz at the deadline but that will depend on how they are pitching. Either one of your young catchers could bring back a piece but that would really be best determined in the context of your franchise (who needs what and where are they at).

30 more games will help and it also might clear up in your mind who you'd be willing to part with.

Why would that matter? This is his franchise where he might not be injured.
