Sony has given refunds to several people. I might go that route. I'm just too damn old with too many other things to do to justify patronizing a company that messes with my time like this.

For offline DD you have to be connected. Even for that stupid Challange of the Week you have to be connected. Only for Season and Franchise I think you can go without being online.

I just tried again and got online. This time they gave me 2 cards. But my DD offline progress for the mission didn't count AGAIN!

One thing I notice is that if that stupid circle is taking forever just to go thru the menu's it's probably a good chance the servers are about to crash.

I just clicked on DD, and it took like a minute to even get in the mode. So that should tell you a crash pending soon.

Even if this is somehow true, people can get a refund and then buy the game again in a month or 2? Seems like there wouldn't be anyone complaining if they could simply get a refund without any hassle.

I just won my second DD vs CPU game vs the Braves. After I leave the postgame menu it said "your connection to the server has been lost". I'm able to go back into the DD menu, look at the mission, and it still has just 1/2 wins (and didn't count the K's I got with Jim Palmer either). I don't think I have it in me to try again in the next four hours. I don't understand why all the data from that game is lost just because the servers were down at the moment it finished. Bit disappointing.

I just discovered the game has custom music. nice. I'll use this server downtime to upload some baseball music like Centerfield and other songs.

Wait, the server issues are now affecting offline modes as well? Cool, now we get to worry about whether our franchise games will count or be pointless just like BR games.

I disconnected fron online until I want to look in the vault.

Yep in rtts, I'm playing and have an awesome game. After game it takes me to item reward screen where it locks up. Had to restart my console. All for nothing. Not to mention in between games I'm card flipping and got screwed on a couple cards because I couldn't go in and resubmit sells.

The Show has a very loyal fan base, but even the most loyal fans are starting to get agitated. To use the excuse that weekends and evenings are high demand times for the servers- while true- is still unacceptable. I am lucky enough to work from home and can play during the week and mornings, but the majority of users are working or in school during the day, and weekends and week nights are the only time they can play. Telling those people to suck it up and be patient doesn't cut it. I've been playing The Show religiously since the early PS3 days, and I'm finally reaching my tipping point. Saying that they have a small dev team doesn't cut it anymore, either.

I dont play online but I was looking forward to the roster updates this year but now, even my patience is wearing thin. I will hold out for one more week before I may have to move on from waiting for the first in-season update. I really think the online snafu is the kind of thing that costs someone their job, which is unfortunate but probably needs to happen.
