Oh I see... if you aren't actually playing the game out (going into gameplay), then that's entirely by the "sim engine" and QC or non-QC doesn't matter. It is confusing because yes, they are effectively CPU vs. CPU in a sense that the game is simulating everything without any user input, but in a forum like this CPU vs. CPU tends to mean when you actually put the gameplay on CPU control for both sides.

Re: CPU SP problem (anyone else has it!?)
Stamina. durability, energy, confidence, These things just don't seem to go together. For example, SP 88 stamina.. 73 durability. 5 complete innings pitched. 68 pitches. Top of 6th pitches to one batter. Now the screen comes up saying Pitcher is getting tired, 74 pitches, energy bar is half full, confidence bar is 3/4 full. This does not make sense.
How can his energy bar be half full and yet he is tired and has nearly a full confidence. I have noticed this game after game, SP being pulled when energy bar is half full or more. Some how the energy bar, confidence bar innings pitched and stamina aren't matching up.
Does anyone else notice this. I am using QC but I don't think that it makes a difference as i have also noticed it in the FC games I have tested..When I do something right, No one ever remembers.
When I do something wrong, No one ever forgets.!Comment

Re: CPU SP problem (anyone else has it!?)
Cubs just pulled their starter after 3 IP, 3 H, 3 BB, 1 ER. I think he was around 50-60 pitches thrown. I should also say I'm using QC.
I'll have to look after the game to see if maybe he was a reliever that was starting.Last edited by thedudedominick; 04-29-2017, 02:18 PM.NHL: Vegas Golden Knights

AND just as I feared....... now its the opposite and to many complete games. I wish they never would have messed with it. It was playing just fine.Really wish sports games played to ratings!
Only thing SIM about sports games now, are the team name and players
CFB 25 The absolute GOAT!!!
MLB 23 FOREVER 20 is better, 23 just for Guardians
Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.Comment

Re: CPU SP problem (anyone else has it!?)
Royals pull their starter after just 4 innings having given up 2 runs. Quick Counts. It's just a complete mess on QC's, don't know how they messed it up so badly yet didn't notice before releasing the game. No one can possibly have tested QC's as you can't play 5 games without someone getting pulled ridiculously earlyComment

Sadly i would agree QC is a mess and likely wasn't tested much because it is apparent every gameI will say full games are very well done.

Sadly it does seem to still be a issue unfortunately. I agree, I dont know how something like this get past testing, unless it wasnt tested at all, which is what seems the most likeliest. There cant be anyway QC were tested, for this to have ever been a issue, let alone still a problem after supossedly being fixed in patch. Its not like SCEA to screw up this bad, so while Im disappointed, I have faith they will get it fixed.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

Re: CPU SP problem (anyone else has it!?)
I can't believe there is no fix for this. So frustrating. Games just take too long without quick counts. I don't have time to spend an hour plus for a nine inning game. This has to be patched soon.

Re: CPU SP problem (anyone else has it!?)
If you don't play with injuries on look at the stamina and durability of the SPs. Just take Jhoulys Chacin for the Padres, for example. I'm surprised he makes it four innings. I play 30 team control, do manual injuries (send players down when they are put on the DL in real life and bring up their replacement). Seems to have helped by raising stamina and durability.Comment

Re: CPU SP problem (anyone else has it!?)
I didn't notice the issue as much before the patch, so maybe I just failed to see it, but no with Quick Counts, it's ridiculous.
Here are my last three games -
Game 1 vs Astros
Bottom of 6th
Tied at 2
Two outs with runner on 3rd
Lance McCullers pulled
5.2 IP 74 pitches 6 hits 2 runs 2 walks and 4 strike outs
Game 2 vs Mariners
Top of 7th pitcher did not come back out
Mariners up 8-1
Heston pulled after 61 pitches, 6 IP, 1 run, 5 hits, 6 strike outs, 1 walk
Game 3 vs Padres
Top of 4th
Rangers up 2-1
Runners on corner with 2 outs
Trevor Cahill 58 pitches, 3.1 IP, 5 hits, 2Ks, 0 walks

Re: CPU SP problem (anyone else has it!?)
i made another thread about it but it also seems the cpu is pulling closers too early as well. multiple games the cpu has been up on me in the 9th, gets the first 2 outs...i hit a single with next batter, and they pull the closer and put in a new pitcher.Comment

Re: CPU SP problem (anyone else has it!?)
Its not all the time for me anymore on QC... it happens and it could be related to how pitchers are rated in game idk...
Moore (SF)
6IP - came out to pitch in the 7th with the Giants 12-0 up. Would give up 3 hits and a walk to load the bases with 0 outs, got pulled.
Samardzija (SF)
7IP - pulled after that with the game tied at 1. Gave up 4H with 12K
Cueto (SF)
Pulled after the 5th for a pinch hitter, he gave up a grand slam in the 5th to give us a 4-1 lead.
Velasquez (PHI)
4IP, was 2-0 ahead, 9Ks just 2H... weird one.
Hellickson (PHI)
4IP, was 1-0 down, 6K, 3H, 1ER.... weird one.
Eickhoff (PHI)
4IP, was 7-1 ahead, gave up 5BB... weird one.
Thats my last 2 series on QC in Franchise. It would be hard to argue any flaws in the SF series... maybe they could have stretched Samardzija further, but thats picky.
PHI however was a mess, none of their starters lasted more than 4IP, which baffles me.
The innings pitched in terms of league numbers look fine to me thoughComment
