I personally am happy with the patch as it appears to have fixed the homerun issue well.

I moved from Legend hitting back down to HOF and getting/giving up realistic homerun totals, seeing a wider variety of hits and am enjoying the game more.

The weak bat sound is annoying but I'll live with it. Not the end of the world.

Starting pitcher fix tbd. I think more tweaking is likely needed by devs.

Honestly, this is why I prefer two year cycles for sports games. No sports game on the planet seem to release without massive problems in this one year cycle BS. Every single one of the main 4 has these issues every single damn year.

Maybe that's the answer for the individual, I'm sure it won't hurt them at first but if enough people take this position of not buying sports games on the yearly basis maybe something would change.

I can't say you're lying but the homerun issue has not gone away for me. I played 4 Games after patch 1.04 with Default sliders and I have hit 9 homeruns. The computer has hit 11. That is almost 3 a game for the computer and 2 for me as the user.

Are the home run distances better as well?

Small sample but haven't seen anything like before. Power seems to be nerfed a fair amount

I'm using default sliders as well

Which one was it that had Vin Scully doing play by play and you could never get the "and throws to first...." out of your head. MLB 98 or 99?

Lol, it was MLB 99. I just watched watched some videos to confirm. Thx for the trip down memory lane I've never been more thankful for MLB The Show 17.

Default sliders is the problem, there are for tweaking, use a slider set from the forums as a base and adjust for your liking.

Well I had all intentions of reading through this thread, but I don't really want to I sift through 6 pages of people whining about how a slightly different wall color has made their entire life meaningless.

Can someone just tell me if home runs are actually fixed or not? any testimonials?

For HR, adjusting the sliders for power do the job for me and other folks, for WP and pitcher getting pulled too soon on QC a patch is needed.

I apologize for posting in the wrong thread, but for some reason all I'm allowed to do is reply and not to create a new thread.

Here's my issue: I am seeing absolutely zero injuries in franchise mode, and I cannot find where I might have switched injuries off. The only injury toggle I can find is manual/auto for roster management regarding injured players. I'm sure I'm missing something very obvious, but I can't find it. Thanks for any help.

If you are playing 30 team control, there is a fix in there that works. I had the same issue. Had to do with creating the CPU teams' profile from beginner settings.

Why isn't the catcher blocking ability listed as an offline and online fix? Did they just not change it offline?

The stat that shows the pitch/speed/break.... just showed a sinker with a 755 in break. Now thats movement LOL

Also had a fastball show the same thing. Now I may be crazy but I dont think a fastball breaks that hard LOL

I had the same thing but it started for me last night before the patch which was weird then today it continued with that same "755" listed as the break for pitches that showed it.
