If you want to avoid the potential of repeat questions over and over again I would reccomend it but it's also not your responsibility to make things easier for anyone not wanting to do some general searching/reading. If anything I'd throw the chart that Triple Crown put together in the OP if possible as that's an invaluable description of pro's and con's for each influence and I keep it open in a seperate tab at all times myself.

Re: Directional Hitting Guide
Noob here with only like 12 game against cpu and 3 in BRmode. I havent used this mode in pvp Dd yet bc I've practiced and played more with the mode with the parentheses.
Is directional better than parentheses for DD?
Seems like this directional mode is sort of a cheesy mode if you can use it in DD pvp.

edit: I even added some information that wasn't there before. See if you can spot it!
SpoilerI talk about how in game experience is the best source for scouting players, followed by batting tendency, player archetype, and hot/cold zones, in that order.

Re: Directional Hitting Guide
Not having to answer similar questions over and over sounds nice. I posted everything in the OP now, including TripleCrown's cards (don't worry I asked for permission).

Sorry, offline franchise only player here. Maybe some of the others can answer your question but I, as the OP, cannot.Comment

Great, thanks WarmWind!!!Really wish sports games played to ratings!
Only thing SIM about sports games now, are the team name and players
CFB 25 The absolute GOAT!!!
MLB 23 FOREVER 20 is better, 23 just for Guardians
Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.Comment

Re: Directional Hitting Guide
Holy smokes. This guide has brought my hitting to a whole new level.
I'm a first year show user, and while I've gotten A LOT better from the first day, this guide dramatically helped my hitting. Like, TONS. I first tested it out on my RTTS, and while I initially struggled, I still managed to hit a HR in 3 straight games (just got to the show).
Then I played some DD games offline and In my first game alone I was up 10-0 on the CPU (veteran, but like i said, first year show user) with 14 hits by the 4th inning. Ended up winning 16-2. Every batter had a hit, with 7/8 position players with 1+ RBI
After the game? Got an achievment thingy for not striking out once in a single game. I never even realized it till then.
The sample size is small.. but man I'm excited againComment

Re: Directional Hitting Guide
hey questions I know this is for directional only but does anyone have a zone hitting guide. I ask because I like directional but I feel its rely on attributes too much and I don't think I'm producing the runs like I should. what you guys think directional or zone for franchise?Comment

Re: Directional Hitting Guide
FYI for those interested I've now bumped up the difficulty to All-Star. I was finally ready to make the switch and I'm really enjoying it so far, definitely an improvement. Should have done it sooner.
I was wondering ruxpinke (if you still keep up with this thread) how you're finding solid hits at 7. The hit variety is great but the bat does feel a little too dead on well timed happy zone pitches at 6, but my sample size so far is only two games. Getting your opinion might help expedite my process.Comment

I actually tried SH back when we spoke at 6 and have been there for the last 30 games or so (along with contact at 6, everything else 5 except for FF at 3).
I wanted to go up incrementally, so i went to SH 6 at first, and the difference was noticeable right away, so I stayed there. Was very happy with it, but have noticed a power outage since the last patch. Trying not to overreact since i'm talking a 5-6 game sample. A lot of threads talking about hitting being nerfed since the last patch so I'm not sure if its in my head now. A good number of squared up balls are being hit as routine flies. I had one game where 4 homers were hit (most in a game for me all year), but other than that, one game with one, and the rest with none, and doubles have taken a hit as well. Tempted to give it a shot at 7 for a few games and see how that works for me. Homerless for the last three games but feel like im seeing the ball well, as i've been drawing walks. I guess im undecided about trying SH at 7 or clicking power up to 6 at this point.Last edited by ruxpinke; 06-14-2017, 01:37 PM.PSN: PrettyToneyComment

Re: Directional Hitting Guide
I used zone hitting but after reading this guide. I switched to directional with armors sliders. I just at have one question. When I have a righty up I always pull hitter and about 75% is a homer depending on the power of the hitter. Any keys to help with all the homers?Comment

Did you follow Armor's sliders exactly or were there any sliders you set yourself?Comment

Re: Directional Hitting Guide
I follow exactly. Example. I was hitting with joc pederson be a righty pitcher I believe but I move my stick to the right which makes joc a pull hitter. Then BAM a 470 ft homer then 3 innings later another bomb but off a lefty. I was pulling the pitch which reading the guide says to do so. I just don't know if I'm doing it right or not.Comment
