Really that is such an improvement and is how it should look!

I would love to know why the sky, grass,dirt and uniforms are not able to look like that in the game?

Perhaps a PS4 Limitation?

My guess is the frame rate can’t handle bright colors yet. Kindve like when the batters take a graphics hit right before the ball is being pitched. I don’t think the art team is that incompetent, that most red colored teams would look so off. This is just a hunch.

I don't know if it'll be in 18 but I'd like to see the Cubs 1990 Away uniform. I think they only used that away jersey that one year. It had the All Star game patch on the sleeve. I think it was a really clean uniform.

I've never seen these before but they look really good.

I don't know what it would take on the actual development side, but I still think we have a ways to go based on what we've seen.

Great job as always...I agree that it simply needs to be "brighter".

Love the touch up to the grass, more than anything.

I appreciate the likes, folks. Though I did pop these videos on my television, and there is just far too much red that I put in these shots. It's just way overstaurated. So I hope no one sees these and goes: "Okay, copy that exactly!" It would not look good. Try seeing them on your set.

Even still, I was just getting something out there to be demonstrated. If they did it, I'm sure they have the tools to get it done properly.

Color hues don't effect framerate. Lighting, materials with normal maps, specular maps, etc. does affect the base color though and that's probably what the devs deal with when trying to get the colors right.

Uniforms Need to be Overhauled

Gotta love all those dull reds in the newest video. Noticed the guys in the crowd had a brighter shade of red than the players at Fenway too. Sigh. I wish this horse didn’t have to be beaten to death and cremated and having its ashes scattered at opposite ends of the earth for this to be changed. I think I’m just gonna stop commenting about it from here on out, doesn’t seem to do much good and just leaves me frustrated.

I love this franchise. And this dev team has done a lot of great things for us that I’m very appreciative of. I just wish we could at least get something. A sign of hope. An acknowledgement of our issue. A fix. We need #JusticeForRed.

Blah. I don’t wanna constantly be a downer. I’m looking forward to 18 and have it pre-ordered so please don’t hate me any devs who stop by. [emoji13]

To be fair, today's video was probably made weeks ago, before any of this color stuff was brought up again recently. I know it's something we've been talking about for a couple years, but at least we know the devs are aware of our issues now. And with the volume of people that seem to agree, I can't help but feel like they are at least taking a long look at possible solutions. At this point though there's not much else that can be done except wait and see. The ball is in their court now. Hopefully at some point we can get some kind of confirmation that its being worked on or explanation why it isn't.

I’m confident the new PBR uniforms rendering will make a huge difference under low lighting specially.

I love they’ve included the new batting practice uniforms last year but I hope they’ve added numbers on the back this year.

Some are really nice looking but it’s a bit weird to play a game with those.
