Colors for all teams alternates.

I like how it clearly shows a red belt on there, yet the game continues to give the Angels black belts. I know that's not a pic of the style guide, but the Angels have been using the red belts for 4 years now.

Love how the new red for the Red Sox looks virtually exactly how the red looks in the Mookie Betts pic below, of course the previous maroon is there as well. These pics here really do tell a great story...

I really have very few complaints about this game, or any video game for that matter. But the one thing I cannot understand is why new "legend" (or whatever you want to call them) uniform combinations are added to the game every year, I think 18 or 19 new ones this year, but we still don't have all the combinations teams wear in games current day. The Cards wore their blue hats on the road 19 times last year, and before 2013 that's all they wore on the road. So it seems like such an easy add

Last year they made huge strides in addressing quantity of uniforms by abolishing the strict limitations of the slot system and adding "every current uniform in the style guide." That navy blue Cardinals cap and the all red Arizona caps are the only two caps in all of MLB that didn't make it into the game. I know as a Cardinals fan that this is a frustrating thing for you but I don't think having 2 missing caps is much to complain about when you see the jump in uniforms from the Show 16 to 17. They literally have every other cap as well as every jersey and pants too.

Adding throwback jerseys isn't the reason that those missing caps weren't in the game so these new jerseys are fine additions and are appreciated by many. I have my own theory to why those 2 missing caps didn't make the game but I'll save that discussion for later.

But of course, there's still hope they did add the two missing caps this year. Let's cross our fingers and hope because I want them in as well!

Yeah I gotcha. Its not much to complain about. You're right. My favorite thing about this game is the emphasis on the "little things" and we all have the 1 or 2 little things we want that aren't in the game. The devs are good at responding to input on this forum so I just wanted to throw it out there. Also, now I'm interested in your theory as to why they aren't in the game.

I do feel for you that 1 of the 1 or 2 things not in the game is your team's alternate road cap. 100% understand your pain there.

As for my theory on the missing caps. Every cap in the game is paired with a jersey. For every jersey there's a cap that goes with it. The Cardinals away jersey is, by default, paired with the red cap. This leaves the navy cap without a jersey to be paired with. It's like when you finish the laundry and find a sock without a pair and you don't know where to put it? The solution would be to repeat the away jersey in the cycle of Cardinals uniforms but they chose not to so that.

This theory is pretty strongly backed up by the DBacks situation where they have something like "8 caps for 7 jerseys" which obviously leaves one cap, the all red one in this case, without a jersey to be paired with.

It's a simple fix I think but, if you look at jerseys and caps as being paired together, it makes a pretty fair explanation to why 2 caps didn't make it into the Show 17.

And of course, as I said earlier, Show 18 is around the corner so there's a fair chance we might get all of this corrected on March 23rd.

True. Again, same theory I just posted...

The St Louis Cardinals have 3 jerseys and 3 caps but all 3 jerseys are paired, by default, with their primary red caps. Therefore, the Cardinals have 2 alternate caps that are not paired with any jersey by default.

With the exception of one cap for Arizona, every other team has their alternate caps paired with an alternate jersey.
