I wonder if the teaser is a true representation of what we’re going to get in 19. They often use footage from old builts because these teasers/trailers get made way ahead of their release.

I’m really hoping they add the option to loose the top button for example...guess we’ll have to wait and see.

One thing I hope they do this year is continue the great work they started last year with new vibrant colors and bring it to all uniforms. The throwbacks were for the most part left untouched and still had the dull, muted colors of previous years, as well as teams like the Phillies which didn't get the red treatment that other teams got.

And don't stop there either, the colors fans wear as well as the colors of the stadium walls and seats could be updated as well.

Colors of fielding gloves need to be addressed.

Give someone an all red glove and you'll see what I mean.... It's very dull.

Yes. Please. I wanted to play a franchise with the Phillies this year but I just couldn’t stomach it when I saw how vibrant and beautiful all the rest of the primary red uniforms in the game were. With cover boy Bryce likely being a Philly, those jerseys should be perfect.

I used the Phillies, last year and it was super annoying trying to toy around with my television settings to try and make it halfway acceptable. That shade of red was just awful. You’re right, tho. Harper should get that fixed for us.

Yep. I did the same. But then I always had to set it back to my normal settings if I played another team with red. Like, oh I dunno the division rival Nationals. Needless to say, I think I made it through the first month of games before I decided it wasn’t worth it.

Completely agree, I thought I was alone. Their home pinstripes are really nice but the road grays are really boring.

So now that video of MLB The Show 19 is starting to surface, I figured it was a good time to bump this thread so we can continue the discussion of uniforms improvements for this year's game. Good news is that there was one already spotted in the teaser by LetsGoBucs.

Front numerals appear to have been placed higher, closer to the team name:


Bad news is that doesn't look like we are getting real-time cloth physics. Not too surprising this late in the console generation, but still a tad disappointing.

I watched this trailer a few times now and some how missed that. Nothing in that teaser trailer had me excited for 19 but seeing the number placement fixed on the Mets jersey put a little smile on my face for sure.

Front jersey number placement looks much better on the Mets jersey in 19 but I really hope SDS had the time to not only fix the Mets front numbers but all other teams as well that had issues like the Dodgers for example.

Anyway this is a very good sign that at the very least SDS is not ignoring us and are in fact trying to fix these jersey number issues being to low on the front.And I still say the numbers on the back of the jerseys without names like the Yankees still seem to low. Also a lot of the numbers on team jerseys seem too small compared to real life ones.

Like most of us I just really want all team jerseys to look 100% exactly like there real life one right down to the smallest detail.

Baby Steps though right
