Re: MLB The Show 18 Video - Mark DeRosa Joins Commentary Team with Improved Presentat

Full speed replays however are very welcomed. I’ve been suggesting this for years.

Real MLB Broadcasts don’t do slow motion replays on EVERY replay.

Saw a couple of new HR Cams, really hoping those can be turned off again. I feel they implement more cams to fully show off the Bat Flips in the game but it looks nothing like a real MLB Broadcast.

If the HR Celebration Cams were used in Replays then yes please, they show Bat Flips replays all the time. But not as the batter flips the bat, as they are looking at the ball/fielders.

Also, really hope they fix the “Ball Goes over Green Monster, but we can’t get a camera up there so just trust us on this one”.

The camera should follow the ball into the stands, no matter where it lands. It shouldn’t stop at the wall and see the ball land in the distance.

HR for Dero can’t be too terrible. I like Dero and he makes really solid points on MLB Net all the time. Recording in the studio should help a lot.

I actually think this used to be a thing. Perhaps if they can prove that their game provides attendance that matches that of their record and such, then maybe it's not a bad thing. For example, if you win three WS titles in a row with the Marlins, then the game better be showing nothing but sellouts thereafter.

In other words, as long as it is the game dictating it and not the developers, then perhaps it is okay.

Happy to see Reynolds out. He has one of the most annoying voices of all time. Not sure if DeRosa would have been my pick to replace him but let's see what he brings to the table.

The fluctuation of attendance has always been in the game. I think this year you'll just notice it more. Like late arriving fans to LA. Fans actually filing out during blowouts. Bad teams will have smaller attendance numbers etc......

Also fans talk on their phones, drink from cups, react accordingly etc....... They basically reworked the A.I. of the crowd.

Something I always wanted to know.....

In Franchise for Example- With Dynamic attendance. Does it vary from year to year. Like if I'm the " Dogers- but I have 5 straight losing seasons, no playoffs, Budget gets decreased etc. In year 6 will the attendance logic be any different from year one? will I still see sellouts? or will the Game consider me a bad team. and reflect that.

Plus I bet you'd be able to get a lot more studio time with VO actors and at lower cost so you could record a lot more lines.
It has worked well IMO in Madden

If fans only show up for 3 innings, is it still a sellout...lol.

I noticed briefly that Cervelli's chest protector had a gold Rawlings tag like the last two years. He's never won a GG and it bothers me that any catcher you give Rawlings gear to wears gold.

I want to say that your team record, and opponents team record play a role in determining crowd sizes. I remember hearing this a while back I believe. I don't know if it has changed or not.

I'm looking foward to stream this Thursday for sure. The Gamestop video is always a welcome two minutes of fun on Mondays but I really do enjoy the deep dives on Thursday. I wonder what more they have in store for us. I really did enjoy what was shown on Monday so I feel there's a lot that was kept back as well.

Yes I really am hoping there will be at least 1 or 2 if not more BIG surprises that we have not heard about yet with presentation that SDS unveils this Thursday!

I hope "Harry the K's" Restaurant at Citizens Bank Park was also added since they seem to have now added real restaurant names to the game

As of MLB The Show 17 Citizens Bank Park still needed a lot of updates. And every year I keep getting let down. So lets hope 18 is finally the year that Citizens Bank Park gets a ton of love lol

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Just the Chop House in Atlanta from what we know of so far.

I'm hoping the crowd attendance thing is something that is a part of a bigger change in franchise mode...
