This isn’t an arcade game. Until they can get gameplay, animations, correct equipment etc correct there shouldn’t be resources spent on something like this. There’s too much that still needs MAJOR improvement for time to be wasted on arcade NFL blitz style bat flips.

Well it certainly isn't a 1000% accurate simulation portrayal of real life, either. So...here we are. With card collecting, ridiculous bat flips, retro mode, three-inning games, legends...

MLB won't let them put in charging the mount (even if it's a little timied) yet they allow and encourage this which would create Brawls in the real world??

Actually it is an arcade game in a sense. It is a game that plays both arcade and simulation, depending on the user playing the game.

I consider DD to be an arcade type of game where you are collecting cards, upgrading players, and playing 3 innings of baseball. Nothing about that is "simulation" baseball.

You can put the game on rookie, adjust sliders in your favor, in order to get a more arcade experience, where you belting monster homeruns, striking out a majority of batters, and completely dominating the CPU. That isn't simulation.

This game caters to both the casual/arcade crowd as well as the hardcore/simulation crowd. And that is what is makes The Show so great, that it can be one or the other depending on who is playing the game.

Please let there be at least 3 bat flip slots in the same vein as the SOTS slots. My franchise Power hitters will be bat flipping fools. I love this stuff.

FYI...

The bat flips seen in this video are specific to Create a Player and Road to the Show, they aren't in the randomizer either.

Reminds me of when the 2k series introduced showboat catches. It's not my cup of tea but I bet these will be flooded during online play.

Reminds me of when the 2k series introduced showboat catches. It's not my cup of tea but I bet these will be flooded during online play.

In 2K, I could rocket up the Green Monster to rob a home run.

But these aren't arcade games.

Agreed. This franchise needs a breath of fresh air from people that actually know the game of baseball and putting out a quality, realistic baseball game.

I won’t, most wont. Time was taken away from improving the actual game to put this nonsense in. That’s the argument. You’ve got things that are still incorrect from 5 years ago in the game but arcade bat flips were made a priority to add.

This game isn't made just for OS members.
