I don't mind these are in the game at all, so long as they aren't randomly assigned to other players.
However, if there were maybe 20 of these, I do wish these were celebration animations #201 - 220 if so, and that there were 200 before it if the more normal variety (or some loud ones but not wacky).
I doubt this took much development time at all, but if there were 20 other animations somebody might have wanted to see that these "took the place of," I see where they'd have a fit. I'm guessing these were just put in here just because, and it didn't replace anything else.
That all being said, this is the exact kind of example I was referring to when I made mention of the phases aspect of franchise being put in. They are giving the broader fans what they want when it comes to streamlining a franchise (in that they will only stop you for the "important things"). People who thought I said that Manfred insisted on three-inning games for this game are really kidding themselves, and probably even have to read what I say a whole lot better than that.
