I'm thinking it's going to be a new screen where guys on trade block will show up, maybe a Twitter type feed of rumors? They already show teams that may have interest so all they have to do is show some generic tweet of Yankees shopping Sanchez Cards Dodgers and A's interested. Wouldn't really be anything new per se just a new way to show it.

That actually sounds like a blast. I may have to do that myself.

Really, another year of "streamlining" as the main addition? The reskined menus look nice but I really wish we got more. Im getting tired of SDS marketing stuff already in the game as new features.
        My Teams:
        Buffalo Bills
        NY Yankees
        Charlotte Hornets

Everybody could look at this another way. By giving players more ways to play franchise and "streamlining" it and giving it phases with tasks to help the new player get a grasp on everything, maybe they will get new people to try the mode. Maybe the ability to player lock or quick manage a game will bring in somebody with limited time.

Maybe this is the way to get new players to give the mode a try. Because this mode needs more players if they are ever going to devote the resources to a major overhaul.

That said I still believe the some of the smaller items like interleague schedules should be tackled just as a sign of good faith.

Probably more Presentation than Franchise but I think the Radio Show needs addressing. The current format is repetitive & tiresome. A weekly rather than daily recap would be much better. Review the key scores, standings & news rather than the daily run down. The current format is unlistenable in the final weeks of the season. Who needs to know that a Team are 20+ games back when there's  1 week left of the regular season!.,

Looking at the screen during the video it just shows the rankings of your positions against the league. I really hope that isn't all it is, just an overview of positions that could be made better via trade.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I think this is the first year since way back in Mario III NES times that I've played more non-sports games than sports video games. Just don't like where all these games have headed with the micro-transactions and online nonsense. Won't be getting the show this year.

Not enough in Dynasty Mode to warrant the purchase of this year's iteration. First year since MLB '04 that I won't be purchasing the new game (or pre-ordering for that matter)...

It's all good, I can still pop in 17' The Show and/or play OOTP 19 or Super Mega Baseball 2...

The Show is starting to go the Madden route in terms of franchise additions when they should be going the NBA 2k MyLeague route.

I wish, somewhere mixed in with this desire to get "new people playing this mode," that they'd spend a bit of effort satisfying their existing, much larger customer base of Franchise mode players. I don't mean this as a slight to you at all, you seem like a cool guy, but this sentiment that all the mode needs is for DD to grow big and strong and siphon resources over to Franchise or all the mode needs is to be easier, quicker, and simpler for this mass exodus of new players to materialize and make it popular...I just can't get over how bad and unrealistic those assumptions actually seem. In my opinion, the people who are gonna play Franchise are basically the people who've always been playing it. And the people who are saying they are disappointed in post after post after post in this thread. There is no secret, hidden population that comes out of the woodwork when certain simplicity benchmarks are reached in the mode. And if they go too far in that "accessibility" direction, they probably suffer a net loss of players who get fed up with the lack of any meaningful depth/simulation aspects compared to real life MLB goings on.

Super Mega Baseball is a fun little arcade baseball game series.

Flat out the way to get more players to play a particular mode is to add more content to that said mode that makes people who’ve never or rarely played that mode excited enough to play it.

If, for example, they added a create-a-stadium feature in Franchise, I can guarantee there will be people who’ve never played Franchise give it a shot. Franchise mode has been stale for years now. I sincerely can’t remember the last big addition they made to it. Because it’s been stale, and they refuse to innovate it beyond some menu changes masked as features, the people who never played it will still not play, while those who love the mode are dwindling and becoming more and more frustrated.

Want people to play the mode? Make it worth it. It’s simple.

I agree. I've always been a hardcore Franchise-first player. However, last year I found myself playing RTTS more often due to how stale Franchise has become.

I just hope tonight's stream delivers some good news. I'm really don't want to grow tired of my Franchise again like I did in 17.

New menus to do what was already in franchise? Is that correct or did I miss something new?
