Why don't they ever announce when the user team has a pitcher warming up but only when the cpu team has someone in the bullpen?

Yeah it's disappointing, i have put in a bug report after every patch, except the last as it seems they are done with any issues with franchise/presentation and i guess it must not not have been a bug.

Another question: Is it possible to sign free agents to minor league deals? I read somewhere that if you switch the panel to the right of the free agent list to one of the affiliates and not the MLB club the contract role will be for the minors and unless I'm missing something that is not the case. (Still get the morale hit because he is signed as "depth" and his current role is "minors".) I am just looking to sign a few guys to minor league deals to beef up my AA squad. Thanks in advance!

Same reason user teams don’t get pitching coach cutscenes like the cpu does. Hell more than half the time taking out a starter only gives the standard bullpen entrance cut and not the longer one with the manager coming out and the starter walking off. They just don’t give a rip about presentation anymore. Except for closeups of the pitcher taking his hat off 100 times a game. Those are great.

I kinda figure they announce the cpu's bullpen activity for the users benefit & since the user knows what's going on in his 'pen, he doesn't need to be informed. but it would still be a nice little thing for immersion if Matt would mention it anyways.

Or maybe he does in broadcast but doesn't in hybrid... I think that would be more in line with what I would expect to be the difference between the two choices. Personally, I don't want to see the camera flash my bullpen because I'm playing without commentary going for an "on the field" experience.

But I'm thinking about running some rare games with full broadcast and the commentary on, maybe as a way to simulate added pressure (rubber matches with rivals, playoffs... Etc). In those situations I'd want the whole nine yards of presentation.

Were there roster moves that involved starting pitchers? (Trades, call up/send down, activation from DL)

It could be a roster move took place that caused the pitching rotation to be altered and unfortunately caused a pitcher who pitched the previous/current day to be moved in the rotation that causes him to pitch the next game.

Nah there is no mention of your bullpen in broadcast.


Matt has always mentioned when you get players up in the bullpen in past versions of the show.


The new bullpen cams were also mentioned in one of the streams and there was no mention of it being reduced to cpu teams only.

Anyone know the reason why the number on the front of the Dodgers Major League jersey is narrow/thin compared to the number on the front of the AAA OKC Dodgers jersey, which is thicker and bears a much closer resemblance to the real life jerseys?

How do you double switch again? Or ill describe what I wanted to do. I had B Gardner pinch run for N Walker who was playing 3rd base for me. The following inning I wanted to move Andujar from 1st to 3rd to relieve Gardner and bring Bird off the bench in at 1st.

How is this done? I couldn't find the screen or option for this...

That's not really a double switch, at least in the sense that it's usually used - it's just position swapping and a defensive substitution. What part of this weren't you able to do? Gardner should have still been in the lineup when the inning ended, so you'd pause, position swap Andujar and Gardner (that's just going to the substitution screen and selecting the two players in the current lineup you want to swap), then pause again and sub Gardner (now at 1st) out for Bird. That's everything, isn't it?
