It is possible to make Franchise mode exactly like season mode, except for the option to have shorter season. Which is unfortunate because it was IMO the best feature of season mode.

I see that the game is $20 on PSN this weekend and now I'm interested.
Are the rocket bunts still a problem ? (I don't play online btw).

They are still rocket bunts, if that's what you're asking.

This is coming from an offline gamer though. Online sometimes has different gameplay patches.

            This is sad.
From what I read, rocket bunts are there because of online play.
Not only it's not a real solution to a problem it also should not be in offline play.
You can't call your game of baseball a realistic simulation if you can't get the bunting right after so many versions.

Anyway thanks for the quick answer.

"rocket bunts" are present, but you can still play small ball. The end result works out even if the execution is not ideal.

Didn't want to start a new thread for this and couldn't find an answer to it before, but if I skipped MLB 18 and pick up 19, will I be able to carry-over my saves from MLB 17 to MLB 19?

                  Yes.

What you'll have to do is pick up a copy of '18 and then transfer your carryover from '17 into '18 and then from '18 into '19

Yeah, I was wondering if I'd have to pick up 18 to do it. I guess it's not that big of a deal; once 19 comes out, 18 should be pretty cheap (assuming I pick up 19 that is).

How is that a 'yes'? That sounds exactly like what he was asking to avoid.

Don't get me wrong, your explanation was on point... I just don't see where the 'yes' kicks in there.

He asked can he get his ‘17 save to ‘19. The answer is yes if he follows the process I explained.

Your explanation was valid and fair, but the same could be said from '14 to '19: yes, you can skip '15, '16, '17, and '18... all you have to do is pick up a copy of '15, '16, '17, and '18 first and then transfer from year to year.

(I realize they may have shut off the servers and this is no longer possible for older years)

To me it just sounded like one of those salespeople where they say "You won't have to spend a thing! All you have to do is provide a one-time small fee of $499." I was laughing more than anything.

If it makes you feel better I am sending him an extra copy of ‘18 that I have so he doesn’t have to buy ‘18 to carryover his save.

                              Geez....:

I guess we can't have small-talk on here, then. This is why I initially deleted my comment; wasn't sure if somebody was just going to take it negatively. Turns out that's exactly what happened, so whatever I guess.

I wasn't trying to make this a big deal, I was lol'ing at the situation. Your answer was great, but seemed strange with the "yes." Nothing more, nothing less.

I also assumed somebody was going to lend it to him. I was going to offer the same thing but I have kind of been with family all night to the point I haven't really gone to the PM's.

                                I'm done. Carry on.
