    Mass editing
Painful to do rosters in-game after using external editors. Unbelievable life sucker! At least the option to mass-edit things like salary, equipment, ect would speed things up.

I would prefer an external editor, but there sure doesn't seem to be any traction on that in this console gen.

    Custom franchise
I want to be able to truly re-create old seasons. Sorry Rockies, Marlins, D-Backs, Rays.. you missed some of the best seasons of my lifetime. I don't want to jump through hoops to re-create 1991, or 1995.

God mode.. I want to be able to edit/create teams, stadiums, logos, jerseys ect
    You want free speech?
Let's see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil, advocating at the top of his lungs that which you would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of yours.

      • full 25 men A teams intead of just 15
      • be able to import a player in your current franchise
      • be able to create a roster with injuries already preset
      • a supersede mode for AI trading where you can reject any AI trade

I don’t think anything here is a shoot for the moon kind of feature but little things Franchise only guys (like me) would love to have.

If they would just overwhelm us with tons of little things for franchise, that would go further in making it more engrossing than one or two big ticket items for 19, at least in my book. The only problem is, the things I think of as little are probably massive for a small team to try to incorporate in 1 cycle.

C'mon Sony, step up to the plate and get SDS the run support it deserves. SDS is like Steve Carlton on the Phillies before Mike Schmidt broke on the scene. Sony just needs to get the missing ingredient in place and they could really catch lightning in a bottle.

Agreed. And they still haven't said anything about season mode. That's ridiculous. But don't tell the fan boys that they will jump all over you if you critize the game.

The "fan boys" you speak of have already said it was a bad move to remove season mode.

              1) open "Classic Franchise" mode you would have complete control the computer would be on extended vacation.

              2) free team movement to any City.

              3) offer more selection in franchises hats. A blue and red hat with an "M" or "B" on it for the Milwaukee Braves.
thanks for the "B" on a blue Brooklyn Dodgers hat.
Just add more hats like that to line up with the cities that these franchises called home at one time.

              4) all these little odds and ends would be for a classic franchise feature. Things like baggy uniforms the option of no helmet I would love to just be able to have a wad of chewing tobacco or chewing gum in somebody's cheek as an option. Choking up at the bat these all sound like request but there just to describe the classic franchise mode.

              5) in this mode you can choose the number of teams for each league you might want 16 teams all together 8 in both leagues.

              6) the ability to import any player into your franchise including New Legends that the show would offer any time in your season.

              7) build your own uniform or tweak the uniforms that are available build your own stadium.
Allow the created and tweet uniforms and stadiums to be available on the vault.
Please put some love in our franchise next year.

Although i agree its way too early for a '19 thread....ill bite....

I'm soley a franchise guy so that's where my list begins and ends(for the most part)....

-Non roster invitees: As someone said previously, it could be some sort of contact issue as to why its not in...why i don't know...seems to be the only thing that makes sense.

-In season contract extensions: If Madden can do it....The Show can do it.

-Rain outs/double headers: Hey...we got rain delays, lets take it one step further! Maybe even add the 26th man to this as well.

-Brawls/suspensions: Now i know why this isn't in the game. BUT it was in MVP....so MLB ok'd it one point in time. We don't need to see the whole brawl...maybe just the benches clearing then a cut to the ejection screen. If my slugging left fielder gets suspended for 5 games...that's something i need to work around.

-More minor league: This could go one of 2 ways. First would be just add those extra 10 guys to A ball for a full 25. OR go all out and add the remaining 4 or so more minor league affiliates for each team(yes, the OSFM roster would take a bit longer ) Nothing below AA needs to be playable IMO, but maybe at least track (fake) stats.

-Smarter AI: Yes trade logic, line up and rotation management, all the stuff we've been asking for for years. But also just in general. Remember when the Yanks traded for A-Rod but already bad Jeter so they moved him to 3B? Stuff like that. Maybe someone has a stacked OF but really wants Harper so they sign him and make him a 1Bman.

-Improved budget: Just tell me how much money i have availabe go spend. I don't want go do crazy math to figure out if i can sign a AAA shortstop.

-Expansion/re-location: I know both are rare in baseball but do happen. I'd love to have to protect guys from an expansion draft or build an expansion team from the ground up.

-International signing period: If they can create hundreds of guys for a draft, you can add a handful for more for July 2nd.

Im sure ill end up editing this with more as i think of it. But that's all for now

Re: Feature I Would Love to have in MLB the Show 19

                        My 2019 ideas:

-Fully customizable schedules. Have set ground rules as a blue print but allow us to create the schedule we want, within those parameters.

-Customization of manager/coaches. Allow us to change name, age, looks of the coaches in the same fashion we can edit players. Also allow us to have managers/coaches to have a base set of traits (more on that in the next topic)

-Coaches/Managers have "traits"...similar to the player traits. Each trait affects players and has positive and negative effects. Example: Manager has drill sergeant trait. Positives are it will improve fundamental skills of all players but it may affect morale. "Players manager" will improve morale of the team but may hurt some of the fundamental skills. Each coach will have their own traits that will affect the team at their particular role. Now each trait has a bronze, silver, gold, and diamond level. The higher the level you are at with that trait, the more positive effects you have and less negative effect from the trait. This changes levels as you play.

-Add Bench coaches to the list. I think they would add something because maybe you want your manager to have the "manage the clubhouse" trait but your bench coach is more of the "in game" manager. That way you can get both these traits have a more well rounded coaching staff.

GMs and they also have traits. One of the traits could be that he's not afraid to trade off prospects. While another trait could be that he isn't going to go after high priced free agents (for the most part) and is building internally.

-Retired players can come back as coaches. Traits that they had in their playing days will carry over somewhat to their coaching. So if a guy was a really good hitter....good chance he's going to be a hitting coach (at least to start out)...or if a catcher is really good defender (and maybe add the trait of "game caller" and "pitching whisperer") he may turn out to be a pitching coach to start.

Re: Feature I Would Love to have in MLB the Show 19

One thing I can say I wish we had in this: Owner. Mode. SCEA could literally use a carbon copy of the owner mode from MVP 2005 and I would be happy. That game is still enjoyable for me because of that mode and I so wish we could have it combined with the modernized gameplay that we now have. Heck, it was in The Show for several years after MVP went extinct. They could either do it in Franchise or make it its own mode, but I'd really like to see it.

In addition, expand the rosters and apply more rules to them. The transaction handbook that's been in the game. I want more than 90 on my roster, and I would really appreciate if there were some kind of game to derive Single-A stats from, even if those games were sim-only. IRL I believe the lower levels are allowed to have bigger rosters than they could ever need, maybe we could see that emulated with an expansion to allow us to have 110 roster spots in the organization(35 Single-A) and Single-A could become the video game equivalent of rookie league. In a perfect world, they'd be able to just add levels to the minors, but that doesn't seem like it's in our foreseeable future so I think just being allowed more spots would be a good move.

Things that I have seen elsewhere in this wishlist that I'd just like to reaffirm that they need to happen: non-roster invitees in spring training, contract extensions during the last season of a contract(I'd actually like to see us be allowed to offer extensions at any time, but that would require new AI logic to make it much harder to get players to accept extensions the earlier in their deal you offer), rainouts/doubleheaders(we've been asking for years), retired players becoming coaches(NBA2K either does this or did it at one point)

Brawls and suspensions. Some of the most memorable moments in baseball history have been brawls. I know MLB wants to promote a positive image of baseball for its fans, but MLB also wants to have fans and I think allowing brawls and suspensions would bring a little bit of fun in for people that think baseball isn't fun(and for those that, like me, think it is).

I suppose I'll be "that guy" and just state that Diamond Dynasty needs to have a truly offline experience, online is secondary. If I'm going to build a team in that, I'd like it to be available for more than one or two years and most certainly available without an internet connection. I'm collecting these cards, not renting them. While I'm on this topic of DD stuff, might as well try to remake The Crib as much as possible so that the new DD items they added can be interacted with, whether it's unlocking jerseys in-game or giving you little bobbleheads to add to your rendered shelf. From what I saw in the dev streams it mostly looks like pages in a binder, without the binder. I figure that in RTTS they already render the locker room so adding a feature like NFL 2k5's "The Crib" isn't too much of a stretch on the hardware.

Basically what I'm saying is make it as much like MLB 2k5 as possible (especially their pitching interface) and throw in an offline diamond dynasty.

3 more wishes for the genie in the bottle:

                              1) another early March release day. early like, 1st or 2nd Tuesday in March early.

                              2) a pitcher on the cover is long overdue. but not Kershaw please. (hate L.A.) maybe Chris Sale or Alabama's own, Corey Kluber?

                              3) since nobody in 2017 wished Season Mode would be in 18, SDS saw fit to remove it.
in that vein, a preemptive strike for 19; please don't remove carry-over saves.
