I'm trying to figure out if he bought the game or not. Last I'd heard/read, he played at a buddy's house for 3 innings and then decided the game wasn't for him and that anyone who bought the game were fanboys who got duped because the game is trash.

Then his buddy got rid of the game because it was trash.

Now he has confirmed that comeback code is in the game??

I play with broadcast camera on both offense and defense, and I get the HR camera often. Not as often as with other camera views, though, but I still get it. I do wish we could turn this off...

From someone who has believed in comeback code for the last few years, I can honestly say I don't truly believe in it anymore. I still do think the losing team has a boost of sorts, but I absolutely believe these boosts can be thwarted with good pitching.

I don't know about the comeback code I have seen some consistent situations in my experience over 5 years. But I do know that there is something wrong with the Player Lock code! I experience this about 65% of the time since MLB 16 but never really posted anything about it.

Basically if you Player Lock in Play Now games and Franchise (Offline) (No game watch selected) the game will at some point continuously loop your locked character into trying to win in a key moment/ key at bat rendering your teammates useless (even stacked rosters) sometimes causing it to go 19-20 innings until you (Player Locked Player) finally come through if not the CPU wins LOL! There is definitely a legacy issue here.

Even though I am not the star player on the team in those situations. I started to somewhat workaround this by 1. Turning on Game Watch to play the entire game. 2. Creating a balanced team of all stars and myself in the rookie position. It still happens in my Franchise but a lot less with the tips above.

Patch 1.08

I will say fielding with Player Lock feels a lot tighter and a sense that I will not over run the ball when moving left or right. It's like a animation of steps kicks in for the direction that I am running in. I'll take this any day vs what was in the past. But would hope for some true step type of technology at this point in the series.

With that said Player Lock mode on defense just feels like it was implemented incorrectly from the "Coach Says" defense count down timer to defense feeling like a sequence. Baseball is dynamic! I wish they would scrap it and write a new version. But next year we will get a upgrade in uniform graphics/cloth physics. But each year the missing core fundamentals keep seeping out and just maybe the crack will be to big to fill going forward.

Doesn't make sense at all not having it, it's there in real life too.

You can see this bug in action by playing RTTS (or player lock), setting baserunning to Action Pitches, and getting on base.

First, note the number of pitches just before your hit or walk. Let's say it's 56, before pitch 57 gets you on base.

You're on first, and the next thing you see is the batter with a 2-1 count...but the displayed counter still says 57 pitches have been thrown.

Baserunning: Action Pitches (and Lead Runner: Half) is basically Quick Counts for CPU hitters when baserunning in RTTS.

So I totally understand why they just decided to hide it, at least until they figure out a plausible way to get it to display accurately, accounting for fouled-off pitches and all that. Speaking as a guy that actually has OCD, that bothers me too.
