Gave in and downloaded the patch. Not noticing much of a difference. 2nd game in and i still have outfielders running past balls without triggering an animation.

Only 2 games in, but ill reserve my judgement on hitting until i get a few more games in. I hit into some bad luck right at guys, but this was the first time i can recall since playing 18 that i was hitting balls into the outfield, that were kinda hanging up in the air, and the computer took some funky almost zig zag angles to the catch the ball for an out. I noticed this a lot last year after the power was nerfed, and im hoping thats not the case here.

this patch blows. why is the SHOW still not fixing the socks issue. the pitching speed is faster but I dont think they helped the AI with speed bc I have seen the 3b baseman stand n watch the balll go by.then i sen the SS miss play the ball and it went under his feet.

i dont understand companies. you want to do LIVE streams when the game isnt out and then rather do live after game is out to see why we can fix cetain things they blow smoke up our asses.

the SHOW is acting like madden. I am so pissed at what they have done

NOW I see when a guy has a 3rd drop ball strike, some guys run out of box n then they slow up n jog. then some guys run fast. im so damn pissed

Anyone else feel like hitting/PCI is more "pure" after the patch? I don't know how else to explain it, but hitting feels even better to me post patch than it did pre-patch and I loved it pre-patch.

I really don't know how to explain the difference in feel, just that it feels more true with PCI and the ball coming off the bat.

Anyone else feel like hitting/PCI is more "pure" after the patch? I don't know how else to explain it, but hitting feels even better to me post patch than it did pre-patch and I loved it pre-patch.

I have played two games since the patch. Maybe it's just a placebo effect (probably is) but It seems the game is a bit more difficult post patch. I am 1-1 since, but the hitting seems a bit harder, and pitching definitely seems harder. Not much of a sample size though. I play Hall of Fame directional hitting, and legend pitching, default sliders.

I was absolutely dominating with the Tigers before the patch, so if it did make it a bit more difficult, I am actually ok with it.

I haven't played enough to comment definitively that the game is more difficult or not. So far at this point it seems the same to me, outside of hitting feeling more "pure" for both myself and the CPU.

I thought pitching got a bit more difficult after the last patch, or the one with the pitch speed changes. Not sure why, but I have felt that way. Nothing drastic, but it was like the pre-release talk of pitching being more difficult didn't take full effect until that patch.

Agreed. The games I've played since the patch have been some of the best games of The Show of all time for me.

This is how I feel as well. As I said earlier, gameplay just feels smoother but pure is a better word. I am so in love with this game. Im getting ready to start a new franchise with a completely new team. I havent decided who yet. When I used to play other sports games I always did re builds. Never have done it with The Show, it always seemed so daunting. But I can see playing 18 for a year or two, then using carry over in the future.

I play All Star default across the board. No sliders, no roster, no 30 team, no drama. I just play the game.

Agreed. The games I've played since the patch khave been some of the best games of The Show of all time for me.

I see they spiked this patch with a placebo pill again
