I've had some good bunts but the hard bunts do still happen, unfortunately.

Ended up with a base hit on one because it got bunted past the pitcher, past the 3B coming in, he had to chase it as it rolled past the mound.

Guess I've just had a good string of them happen lately. I'll take it!

Thankfully I only do it when the pitcher is up (unless he's a half decent hitter or he's Ohtani), the occasional drag bunt, or very rarely with a position bat in specific situations and no speed on the bases.

Haha, never figured you'd say that, MK.

I honestly don't bunt much, even with an NL team. Having my pitcher bat 8th in the lineup really changes the dynamic of how things play out.

Might have to finally go up to HOF hitting after this patch. Put up 16 runs in my last game. I went from barely over .500 in my franchise in 3rd place to 1st place with a 7 game win streak. Only game I've lost so far since the patch was when the CPU attempted a multi steal on me (including home) and I threw to 2nd and gave up the tying run at home heh.

Some of my dominance is surely coincidence, but my offense has definitely gone up for sure.

EDIT: ...aaaand my first AB on HOF was a solo shot with Dyson

I took our kids to Chicago Tuesday night to see our Indians play the White Sox. Guy from the White Sox shows bunt but pulls back. Me: "Bunting is stupid." Next pitch - he pops up and is out.

Me: "As I said, bunting is stupid."

As the great Bill Murray once said, "Baby steps...Baby Steps".

So far HOF does feel quite a bit better than All Star. Striking out more for sure.

Also, do you guys find the CPU hits a realistic amount of HRs? Considering bumping their power up a bit to level things out as I really don't give up many (currently on HOF pitching as well).

EDIT: I see nomo has power at 6. Gonna roll with that for a bit.

Don't know if they changed anything with the crowd sound, but after the patch is anyone else hearing a sound effect of a child screaming "I want to go home" multiple times an inning? Happens in every stadium and is making me want to put my head through the wall... I've tried hard resetting my PS4, as I assumed it was a glitch, but alas the damn kid persists...

That just sounds creepy. Maybe your house is haunted...

It was funny at first, but after two dozen games of that kid I am losing it. My most recent game I had an at bat where the kid yelled after three straight pitches. I haven't found anyone else that is dealing with this bug/sound effect, so maybe I've been driven insane by the inconsistent hitting of my team...

To answer the question directly - Yes, they have no trouble hitting my bad pitches (and even some good ones) out of the yard on Legend.

CPU hitting HR's is often more of a side effect of bad pitching than it is about the CPU's hitting ability, so I'd ask whether or not you feel like you're able to to be too precise with your pitches (especially breaking balls as those are the ones that really get mashed when left over the plate)? If you're able to hit your spots an abnormally high percentage of the time and rarely make mistakes, that's another potential reason to either go up a difficulty level or mess with the sliders (User control would probably be best here). Plain and simple - if you're able to consistently hit corners with any pitcher, don't expect to see the CPU's slugging numbers where they should be.

At times on Legend it can feel like the CPU has an uncanny knack for hitting anything over the plate (which is kind of the opposite problem), but in that case, fear can be a good motivator - it forces me to aim off corners and, yes, even walk people. The first time I started consistently seeing swings and misses on pitches outside the zone on Legend, I knew it was the right difficulty for me.

I agree with this. Legend really makes me pitch. As a result, i walk my opponents at a realistic rate, and also get them chasing pitches for K's. Im motivated to pitch around players in certain situations. Or if i have 'circled' a certain player or players on the lineup card before the game as "This guy may walk or strike out chasing, but he won't beat me" Sometimes, even then, i make a mistake to them and i know it as soon as i let go, and just hold my breath that it doesnt leave the yard. I love it.
