It's probably the other sliders I'm using, but my in-game results pretty much match IRL

My in-game results mirror real life as well.

Sometimes a hitter will hit a good pitch and find a spot for it to fall in for a base hit.

Bucky 'ef-in' Dent. Sometimes a bad hitter runs into one and becomes the bane of an entire city's existence for 8 years.

A good pitch. eh? Low and in out of the strike zone is a good pitch. Jeez, I never get so lucky. I mean, the ball was almost in the catcher's mitt!

Yes sometimes a hitter will be able to hit a good pitch from the pitcher and find a spot for it.

Seen it in real life, done it myself in my glory days and seen it in the Show

You call low and in and out of the strike zone a good pitch--and I disagree with that. Those are the kind of pitches batters will strike out on, not hit fair for singles. That is the kind of pitch Sale likes to throw because it gets him a Strikeout!

A good pitch for the pitcher.

And yes batters will strikeout on that pitch as well but it’s not absolute. If it were then all I would have to do in game, and apparently according to you, a pitcher do in real life, is execute a low and in pitch out of the zone continuously and I/they could rack up 27 strikeouts per game

No, that's silly. Guess what, they don't have to swing at the pitch!

Go back and look at my post that started this conversation. Eh, I'll repeat some here:

I said batter basically took pitch out of catcher's mitt and it went fair for a single. Then someone replied with that was realistic and I said no but you liked his post. Thus, you agreed with him. or why else like his post?

Like I said, low and in and out of strike zone and....

I know its silly and I know they don't have to swing at the pitch.

I know what you said. Caufield responded that sometimes hitters will hit a good Sale slider and that his experience is that in the game, his results are similar to that in real life, and I agreed because mine are similar as well and made the comment that sometimes a hitter will hit a good pitcher's pitch and find a spot for the ball to fall in for a hit, referencing his remark that hitters sometimes hit the good Sale slider.

My post wasn't in direct reflection to what you said, which is why I never quoted you in the first place. But you apparently felt the need to defend your stance that the game isn't realistic and being sarcastic as if I don't understand the game of baseball. I tried explaining to you again that sometimes a pitcher can make a great pitch off the plate and out of the zone and the hitter will still get wood on it and the result will be a base hit.

You can repeat yourself a thousand times over and my opinion and experience will remain the same, whether you like/agree with it or not.

I am fairly certain last inning of last WS game, John Smoltz called that slider unhittable. I think Turner also struck out on that pitch. But, hey, Smoltz or you guys, who am I going to believe

Just played a franchise game in MLB 18. There was not one stat overlay about anything happening around the league or comparisons. All I got was the line score and of course the ticker at the bottom. This is unacceptable at this stage in gaming. The Show needs too look at NBA 2K example about immersion in franchise. As I said before, there is too much dead space in this game. It does a descent job overall, but we need more information about what's goin on around the league in franchise. Another thing I like too see is what the MLB2K series did, show us each players strengths and weaknesses: like pitches, counts, spray zone..etc. The strike zones needs too have avg for hot & cold as well. It shouldn't just have red or blue and nothing else. We need more commentary and stats in franchise. The show have not surpassed the MLB2K series in that area. NBA2K is the gold standard for immersion in franchise. Lets go Ramone. The community needs this.

Then I guess you’re virtual Chris Sale didn’t throw the exact same slider as real life Chris Sale since your slider was hittable

Sure, you could say that. However, playing this game inclines me to believe CPU virtual batter is not the same one as in real life.
