I did, but that still doesn't answer the question as to why you would continue to play a game that frustrates you. I love playing baseball games as well, and when '17 wasn't up to my liking, I went back to playing '16. You know a game I enjoyed and didn't frustrate me.



If you don't care what I think, then why did you choose to address a post I made that didn't involve you? I was responding to Caufield's post and you chose to jump in and argue with my post. For someone who doesn't care what I think, you sure seem to want to continue a discussion.

And who's defending anything? Again, I never responded to your initial post but yet you chose to try to respond to a post I made about my experience disagreeing with me and basically challenging my understanding of the game of baseball. You then proceeded to try and discredit my opinion of what happened by telling me that John Smoltz said this or that.

If you don't like/care for my opinion then stop responding and put me on ignore.

I really really hope they address managers in '19. Gets frustrating when you get deep into franchise (in terms of seasons) and so many coaches have the same appearance and are wearing jackets and you have no idea who they are.

I would really love to see:

A catcher IQ rating tied to the API. Also a catcher and pitcher chemistry rating.

Revamped player/prospect scouting

Rotating inter league schedules

A fully customizable season/franchise suite where we can determine divisions, amount of teams and that would allow classic and fictional rosters to really shine. Also the ability in that customization suite to eliminate the wild card game. It is time for The Show to catch up to NBA2K’s My League.

Expanded historical stats for minor leaguers!!!!

SOTS getting the additional space it gave up going from 17 to 18. Do us and the audio team a solid and give it back please.

1) Retired players is a real issue. Too many legit ML players are retiring due to "ability" It is kind of ridiculous that this is untouched year after year.

2) The ability to edit players gear in DD.

3) logos on armbands w/ #'s, logos on compression sleeves without the additional designs. The addition of Bat companies, SSK gloves, Air Jordan, Nike catchers equip. or.....OR...how about a LOGO EDITOR?!!!!?!?

4) dynamic uniforms throughout the year in Play Now/ability to export uniforms to franchise i.e., Player's Weekend, Mother's Day, Father's Day etc.

5) Eliminating "MLB" The Show: logo on Bats. Just leave it Generic

6) Dynamic gear additions throughout the year. Seriously, how is 2K able to do this with shoes? SCEA has the exclusive rights and they are neglecting the implementation of this very cool and obtainable feature.

7) Delete RETRO MODE

8) Delete Challenge of the Week

9) Editable sleeve lengths, including the compression sleeve length (make it a slider like the jersey sleeves)

10) This might be a stretch, but, editable beards and hairstyles on SCEA players. I dont know why we can't just have the ability to edit these players. Is it a MLBPA issue? You guys make enough money to negotiate this. make it happen.

These I’ve been asking for quite some time

1. Editable coaches and different coach logic. H/9 +3 just doesn’t cut it
2. More viewable all time leaders and list of awards for longer than just 3 years maybe include awards a player has earned in his player card.
3. More accurate contracts, I know they can’t use the exact numbers but they can do much better.
4. Create a stadium would be awesome
5. Track year to year minor league stats for players in the minors
6. Team history, list of championships won, more accolades shown
7. Increase number of players that can be traded at once from three to five
8. More detailed draft classes, maybe include player picture, high school or college stats etc
9. Better hall of fame, include player jersey, awards won, player picture etc
10. Most importantly focus on franchise mode, it hasn’t received any love in quite some time and it’s getting very stale

Some features that I would like to see for franchise:

1) Being able to see a players energy bar before loading into the lineup screen, this will help a lot when deciding which pitchers or position players to call up if you need a spot start.

2) being able to see a pitchers pitch speed break down, a pitcher having 95 velocity can be very deceiving. It would help a lot being able to see the break down of their pitches

3) when looking at free agents being able to see the amount of options that they have left.

4) having spring training invites and being able to offer guys minor league contracts.

5) Having a hardcore mode, where contracts and trades are decided based on performance and not just attributes.

I definitely agree with #5 but I feel like that should be the norm. Contracts should ONLY be decided based on performance and maybe potential

More CUSTOMIZATION options with every piece of equipment. Also I don't know what happened with the pine tar on bats but that needs to be worked on but with more options for that as well.

I'm a details guy when it comes to equipment so as many options, choices, colors etc. that I have the better. Please make this happen SDS.

Yes its on broadcast. I'm only 17 games in my franchise at this point. Still don't see anything about around the league. There needs too be more random stats showing in franchise. There is too much dead space in this game. They focus more on the line score and panning out in the field. MLB2k is a good example of stats being displayed during a game. Gary Thorne and John did a good job with talking about stats.

Not much I loathe more than simming for service time. With the removal of season mode in 18, it made work both more tedious and laborious. So sign me up on editable service time.

I may have mentioned this already, and sorry if I'm repeating, but I would absolutely love it if they added the Arizona Fall League next year.

On a related note, but unrelated to the Show, I wish MLB Network would televise the AFL games.
