Only had time to play a couple games so far. Zero home runs were hit. It was hard going through a single game in MLB 2018 without hitting one. Offense now seems to be far less home run or nothing type like the previous year. But of course, it was only two games.

I took me about 3 minutes to turn off the pre pitch cameras. I appreciate the thought, but I pitch in broadcast view and follow the catchers hand signals 95% of the time and you can't see his hand during the animations. They should have made the animations play, then hit x to skip them, then get back to the game. But having them play in real time is a no go for me.

Really pleased with the game. Finished a 6inning game on all star hitting and hof pitching. Stances look great, colours really pop. You can tell they worked on the audio, the fans seem to react more accordingly, makes it feel like an afternoon at the ball park. The fielding feels really good, the way the players react on grounders and pop flys feels much better. Love the bronze, silver, gold icons under your fielder, really nice touch, however would like to see it against the opposing defense (cpu) this would give us a better idea if they are able to get to the ball and give us a better idea what kind of defensive team they have.

Fielding urgency is definitely there. Andujar just knocked down a ball at third and threw an absolute seed to first to get the guy by a step. That play doesnt get made in 18.

Anyone else want that 'crack of the bat' sound in menus when starting up a game...to be the actual sound for the ball hitting bat in game?

I can't say 100% that you wouldn't see this play in '18, but I don't think you'd see this play in '18.

By the way that is how the game ended and I lost 4-3 in my Spring Training opener.

I am also seeing big time stuttering during balls put in play whether I'm playing on balanced or faster mode. But I'm still enjoying the crap out of this game thus far. Turned an incredible double play just now as the Tigers. Jordy Mercer dove at shortstop and gloved a rocket grounder, flipped to Harrison at second, who then threw a missile to Cabrera at first to just nip the runner. It was pretty awesome!

Played two full games last night, at worked tired as hell, was up until 3:30 am lmao.

I love this game over any MLB the Show to date, the first few minutes I played I saw and felt the gameplay was very fine tuned IMO. This is all I been asking for, for me the Game is still one of the best looking sports games around.

Again, these are quick impressions, but the gameplay feels like it should have a few years ago. Its so good this year. Im going to have so much damn fun this year I know it.

Ill be back with more later tonight with more impressions when I play a few more games. Best time of the Year Baseball is back and so is the Show.
