What is the best way to create a two way player? Is there a need to create a clone batter/pitcher? I want full stats and full manuverability.

Re: MLB The Show 19 Q&A Thread
MLBTS does not allow you to give pitcher's a secondary position in the field nor can you give fielders a secondary position of pitcher.
If you are creating a player for the American League, you could potentially create him as a pitcher only, then sub him in as a DH, but he would not be able to play the field, due to him being an extreme liability for not having a secondary fielding position.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Re: MLB The Show 19 Q&A Thread
Did they implement some new coding in the last update, or has this always been like this:
I was setting up an interleague game with my 2021 Phils franchise, and Shoei Otani (whom I have) was automatically slotted as the DH. I have somebody else in that spot, but it somehow had Otani there at the lineup screen. Not that I mind. But I know having played this for 11 years now, that you can't put a pitcher in as DH.
Anyone?Comment

It’s had that since the release of The Show 19. It’s specific to Ohtani only though.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 19 Q&A Thread
Thanks for the info on fast gameplay and stuff.
How is creating Prospects for the game? Can you make them for the draft (draftclasses) or be free agents if you are in a Franchise? Does it have the artistic faces? Hate the black silhouette pics that some games (NHL) has for created players.Comment

Player cards are silhouettes, but most of the time when you bring up a player card you get a full 3d render of them as well (like in the menus or lineup screens).Comment

Re: MLB The Show 19 Q&A Thread
You cannot edit draft classes but you can edit players once they are on a roster to your content. That includes on the fly in a currently running franchise. Players that do not have a real life photo will use an in game render for their photo.

It would be nice to edit Draft classes, instead of going thru rosters afterwords, but at least it is possible to change players.
I'm good with the game render, the silhouettes annoy me. So if checking roster or stats, or shows player in game, it will have the cartoon picture of them?Comment

However, whenever you bring up a player card, it's usually accompanied by the game loading up a full 3D render of the player in question on the left side of the screen. There are some situations (like in the middle of an active game from the pause menu) where it won't happen, but most of the time you get to see what the player actually looks like.
FYI a player's "card" is where you see things like attributes, statistics, contract, morale, etc. It's accompanied by a little baseball card in the top left of the screen (which will be a silhouette for created players) and a full 3D render taking up the rest of the left.

Re: MLB The Show 19 Q&A Thread
Has the exact time been announced for when early access becomes playable? I know it’s 03/13 but what time? Midnight on east coast?Comment

Re: MLB The Show 19 Q&A Thread
It's always been mid-night on the east coast and then you can adjust your time depending on what time zone you live in. As an example I live in the mountain time zone, which means I will be allowed to play the game at precisely 10:00 pm on 03/12.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 19 Q&A Thread
I’m hoping you guys can help. I have everything except for scouting set to Manual YET the computer still makes roster changes, bringing people up and down in the minor leagues. In addition, if I trade anyone, even in the minor leagues the computer changes my lineups and rotation, even though I have it all set to manual. Help?
