Just to add, I honestly think the guys seeing a issue are playing with pitch speeds at default or turned down.... I always max out pitch speed because it it’s more aesthetically realistic looking and I like the challenge just a thought, when the ball is floating so slow u will notice a frame hitch maybe?

I'm not "bro," but thanks for the recording.

I don't see anything on that either, but the two concerns are that you are using balanced (so it might be "as choppy" as the rest of the game) and that we're seeing it on camera. There is a lot of blur that will be introduced overall with that in mind.

I'm going to try and see if my capture card can at least give me a few seconds of smoothness, so I can get a single pitch in 60 FPS running in Faster at different stadiums.

Whoa, I wasn't upset and you didn't offend me. I have students who will sometimes say that as well, and I'm just used to correcting them with that. In my experience, the word either tends to come off as equals in a conversation (which my students are not, either by age or academic wisdom) or somebody coming from a negative tone. Since we are equals here, it probably came off as the latter for me. I was probably in the same manner as you are right now -- making sure our conversation remains civil and toward a greater purpose for the game's sake.

I don't see where my post came off as deconstructive, either. I even thanked you for the recording! That was sincere. I too mentioned that I don't see it in your video, but I did explain why I believe so, and I'm going to attempt to recreate it for myself in your stead. You make a great point that people aren't capturing video, so I am going to attempt to do exactly that.

Again, I didn't mean to come off as "whiny." I haven't made a single post in this thread that should indicate I am coming off as that at all. Please forgive me on that front. We're all trying to ensure this game provides the best experience that it possibly can.

I take it as condescending when someone says “I’m not whatever” u referenced them as no harm no foul, there’s a couple other guys in here that have approached this whole “issue” with the same type of perceived attitude, I apologize if that wasn’t your intent, my bad

Recording your TV won't give you an accurate representation of the game's framerate.. unless you set your camera shutter speed to 1/60 I guess.

In MoM there is a slight stutter a lot of time right when the ball meets the bat. Don't know if it happens when a human is controlling the batter.

This is also true. My camera can't even do that. The closest that it can do is 1/50. Normally for 60 FPS, for natural looking motion, I tend to double the shutter speed (so I'll choose the 1/125 option).

So my frame rate is better recording through my phone than it actual is on my tv?

No, he meant recording your TV through a camera. The best bet will be through video capture. I'm sure that even the PS4 internal capture (at 30 FPS) may show it, but I haven't tried it to be certain. I'm going to go all-or-nothing on my elgato when I'm ready to (I have to set it all up and rewire some things, because apparently my receiver doesn't accept third-party signals like those).

I don't know if iPhones can adjust shutter speed or what they default to, though.

Gotcha, I was just trying to replicate exactly what I was seeing with no outside interference, again just trying to help see if we can figure out why some see it and some don’t regardless if OP thinks I’m just here to “attack”

I appreciate it, but it all looks choppy to me (because the 30 FPS, either by the Sharper mode or the internal capturing), so there's no way to know one way or another with that either, sadly.

I think that goes back to my post when I educated somebody on framerate with the Family Guy theme song analogy... that if everything is faster then you may not notice it, but if only some parts are sped up, then it will be much more noticeable.

To tie it in with this, we're going to need two new aspects to get this right: 1) 60 FPS capture on Faster (if one use Sharper by default, I don't think this thread will be much of a concern for them at all, and they should just continue playing as is); 2) a control group of stadiums where they are extremely smooth to begin with.

Fingers crossed I can get proper captures up in time!

The thing is though, and I have yet to mention this one way or the other yet... it's actually not game-breaking for me. I will admit that the dynamic defensive camera is tough to work with when it comes to the framerate, but I use the Retro cam in its stead. When it comes to hitting though, it's not intolerable. It's noticeable and possibly even detrimental, but I don't sit there the entire game making that as an excuse to why I can't judge or time a pitch right.
