I'm waiting for them to fix the budget problem in franchise mode before I buy the game. I suspect they are working on it and I also suspect it isn't an easy fix.

Does anybody know whether they fixed it in this patch?

Quick question for anyone willing to check

Is the face swapping/skintone issue happening still? Sometimes when you make a defensive sub, the incoming player will have his body/skintone, but will have the head/face/skintone of the player he's replacing.

Picture example below:

Not really sure how you think the game plays flawless because if you watch with balls are in towards third base right field Outfield all these players reaction times are. Acting good and they are causing the players to have je steps going for the Ball Hog so the ball doesn't go through MLB The Show these Third Base first base left field and right field issues

Reddit and The Show Nation are losing their minds over this patch because you can no longer use difficulty sliders in Moments, which was an exploit that was never intended. This forum is like a walk in the park on a Sunday afternoon in comparison.

Wait, you can't use difficulty sliders in Moments anymore? That means I have to play with crazy-fast fielders, slow off-speed pitches, CPU painting corners all day, and a bunch of CPU fouls?

Oof, that really is a blow for me.

They really just need to add an option to waive the rewards with the ability to use sliders.

Yikes, and I wanted to give March to October a shot.

ESPN NFL 2K5 would disable some achievements, but something interesting they also did was took the in-game XP you got and multiplied it by a scale factor that was based on how you modified your sliders. So if you made the game ridiculously easy, it would multiply them by a decimal value less than 1.00. Otherwise, you might have sliders that multiply them by 1.26 or something. It was a nice way to account for what you did.

Maybe if this game had something where they had this kind of factor as well, they'd kind of say something like "You can't make the game any 'easier' than a 1.00 difficulty," or whatever the heck you would say. It would take some time to create the formula for it, but that would be a great alternative.

I don't see why they don't just have 2 options for MtO:

1) Play for DD rewards...difficulty is locked in (or can be reduced in-mode - basically how it is now) and default rosters must be used.

2) Play for fun...any rosters/difficulty can be used, but you forfeit any chance at earning post-World Series win rewards.

Not to mention now all AI pitchers are back to being the love child of randy johnson and greg maddux. Good luck ever finding a ball to hit in the zone. All they do is throw balls and paint the corners without the slider help.


Power is nerfed too so hello warning track fly outs while Matty V loses his mind talking about how much you got ahold of it and how far it flew.


The sliders did not make the moments easy they made them fair.


Before I found out about the sliders I spent a week trying to clear the Harper moments. Finally did but it was after bitching at the game for how unfair it was and restarting over and over and over again.


Found out about the sliders and suddenly the moments played reasonably and I could clear a moment in 2-3 hours of playing.


Where as before with no sliders I would take serious breaks from doing them because of how frustrating they are.


The McCovey 2 homer thing with slider help still took me 5 hours to clear. But I sat there for 5 hours because I was so close to clearing it many many times I was addicted to getting it done.


Without sliders it would be warning track over and over again and you wonder if your controller is broken.


I see so many people calling the sliders cheating on forums but all they did was swing the balance of moments back to being tolerable. They didn't make you get pitches down the middle and you could hit home runs with your eyes closed.


Now we are back to the moments being broken and not worth the effort.
