Ok guys I loaded up my 19 roster to check a few of these players and I half to say the findings are pretty interesting.

This is a game changer for any roster editor. In the past it would take forever to do a full set roster with 90 players per team and of course fill spots in free agents with other prospects etc.

Keep in mind usually the MLB always had real players and AAA there were about 15 real players in AAA give or take over team. The rest we had to create from scratch or export from previous years game, but still can be very time consuming.

This sheds a ton of time off when we can gets roster out. I still think there will be a few generic players here and there. Some will not always agree with stances, motions, ratings or equipment given by SDS so there is still a little work to be done, but this is a huge game changer and tons of time saved.

I myself usually grab a roster update SDS roster or the default as my base and the very first thing I always started with was importing mg FAKE PITCHER and FAKE BATTER players over all the generic fake players in the past. Yes, I did noticed some minor players on this list do in fact have a scan face while others are the editable/created.

It looks like we'll have a mixture of real faces and editable CAP faces, based on some of the screenshots. Hopefully this saves some time for the wonderful group on the these forums that work on there.

If things like stances, equipment, pitch arsenal don't need to be accurate for you to start your franchise, it's nice that these things look to be in.

Yeah I only have access to this site from my phone while at work. The photos are just blank boxes for me. Would be nice to know who the players are that you uncovered

Yes a definite game changer. I am not a creator but having real prospects in, and the fact that this will make things easier for roster creators in the long run (I use ridins), makes this a day one purchase for me. I want to show my support to SDS because his is a huge step in the right direction

And if they stick with just AAA, AA, and A teams, are they going to mix in the top prospects from the lower levels, kind of how OSFM did?

If I had to guess I would say it is probably just triple A and double A. I would be surprised if actual A ball or below (rookie ball, Dominican league) would be in, although it would be great. I also don’t believe international prospects such as jasson Dominguez will be in, since we have never been able to create a player under 18 years old before.

I also think that there will be some omissions in triple A and Double A if the deal was based on the players signing a waiver as opposed to an actual licensing deal. This is fine because Ridin and others will just fill in the blanks anyway

my guess is even if they split Single A into high & lo A (I personally dont think they will, but hope I'm wrong) this wont be a complete minor league, no short-season A level, no rookie league & no foreign rookie league. I think when SDS used the phrase ''full minors'' it was mostly a nod to OSFM and Operation Sports terminology ''Full Minors''. probably would have been less confusing if all those years ago we had been a little more accurate with our description and OSFM had been called OSRM (Operation Sports Real Minors).

I'm not sure what you mean by "findings"? What does this have to do with the 2019 version....are you suggesting they are using created players from the vault for the "full-minors roster"?

I'm expecting an untouched 90 players roster. Don't think they wanted to modify all the code & logic involved in expanding roster to a full 3rd minor level. Franchise is sub-topic of a RTTS Twitch. For Franchise, I'm afraid it will be the new custom teams + real names/faces for minors.



Those 2 new features are welcomed and neat additions for sure but my expectations stop there. Hope I'm wrong !!

Hopefully this year it means we will have a thread of 'spot the fake players names to replace' instead of a whole list of 'missing players thread'

We will just have to see but imagine how much work would be cut out. we still have to get the roster 100% right there unless a import player into franchise option is there.

Full Minors = same as before 25 AAA, 25 AA , 15 A.

All were getting is a SDS version of full minors with 95% real minor league players names, likeness etc...(Which im very excited for this. This alone is very well worth it, as said earlier a game changer and if this is all we were to get and not a full 25 A ball I'm ok with it, by having these minor league players already on the game with some tweaks I'm sure saves months and months of work for us)

* What normally would take someone anywhere from 3 months to 6 months of editing rosters can now be done in 30 days. It also cuts down on all that exporting and importing many of us had to do for years.

Nothing more....Nothing less...

They would half to change a lot of things and there just not doing that so don't over think this.

Example as we all been asking for more slider options or add more attributes but in order to do that would change to many things from all the previous show games until now and would change how carry over franchise would work.

Them rewriting that entire code and the issues it would cause by adding more attributes , features, slider options etc none of the previous games have had would cause more headaches than its worth and knowing there track record I just don't see them overhauling minors to that degree yet.
