13th vs. 17th?

Normally if I preorder The Show, I get it on the Friday before the Tuesday release date. When I went to do it on my PS4 last night, it said the 17th. Is there any way to get it on the 13th, without spending the extra 20 or whatever bucks for the deluxe version?

No, if you pre-ordered the standard version, you don't get to play it early.

That’s actually not true. I just looked it up and it says that if you preorder you get the game on the 13th regardless of what edition you buy.


Edit: This is through GameStop though. I’m not sure how it works for digital versions or other stores.

Looks to be exclusive to GameStop because Best Buy and others say the 17th for the standard edition.

Is that all GameStop's? My friend is a store manager and even she told me that standard editions have to wait till the 17th. If I'm wrong then that's great for everyone! [emoji4]

It’s very possible it’s only select GameStops. I called the local one where I live and they said they will be releasing all the versions on the 13th if you pre-order.

On this same topic, any deals on Pre-Order for the standard version?

I'm actually out of town that weekend, so.....early order won't make a ton of sense. I'll probably just go with the digital version from PS Store because I don't have a ton of games to trade in.

I’m sure it’s not just my local GameStop that’s doing it either. It’s similar to how a lot of stores don’t really care if you pre-order. I got NBA 2k a few years ago on the early release date without pre-ordering it. I just walked into the store and bought it that day. Some stores don’t care about the dumb rules these companies make about pre-ordering the expensive versions of the game just to get it early. Stores just want to make money.

Yup just a another way to monetize something. You did get extra things for that extra $20 but it kinda boils down to what game mode you play.

Its actually not, if you don't pre-order the MVP edition or Deluxe edition you wont be playing early.

If gamestop sells the regular version on the 13th they are breaking the street date, and they wont do that.
