Did my own sim after fixing position requirements and can confirm that the mass trades still happened.

Oh well. Since this roster problem started happening with 19 The Show I'm just going to grab my older 18 The Show & play it. I will just update the rosters for that version myself since I know there is nobody done that for 18. What a bummer!

Pre-ordered MLBTS '20 this year because of all the hype especially for franchise. I said I would stop pre-ordering sports games but I bit the bullet again & again I got robbed! Only thing missing is the darn GUN!
      NCAA- GO VOLS
      NBA- GO CELTICS
      MLB- GO BRAVES
      NFL- GO COWBOYS
      NHL- GO PREDATORS
      NASCAR- Chase Elliott
      MLS- LA Galaxy

RIP Pat Summitt: We will all miss you!

Yes still happens. Using a osfm 19 roster it's normal. It's something with this years roster file. The slider has no effect. Also way too many high progression starting pitchers. 4 years in and you get this...

Have 80 plus overalls starters as bullpen guys.

Sony’s potentials are always way too high. Mid level prospects with A potential. That’s a joke. All they need to do is look at a top 100 prospect list. A team with no farm system like Boston shouldn’t have one prospect with an A rating. There should be a few Bs and mostly C’s and D’s. I bet that’s what’s causing it. Their potentials in the past for MLB players have always been too high. This is the first year they’ve had minor leaguers and the potentials are too high. This is most likely the reason. If someone with the game wants to crank down potentials on mid level prospects (a tedious job). That may work.

Not touching roster until they fix it. This base can't be used as is. Really surprised it wasn't caught by QA or when the sony partners went. Unless this roster was last minute.

Any sim to April would have seen it. Usually dev's run sims to check for stats and anomalies etc. Its something that even overrides the trade slider.

Some teams rosters are very unbalanced. Things like having up to 12 catchers while other teams only have 2-3 2 basemen. Could this imbalance be what is causing the massive trade issue?

It IS. Why I stayed away from custom rosters in past years (aside from 2, Bacon's fictional and the 1987 roster - both of which are exceptionally well-balanced)...except this year, it's in the base roster.

Badly balanced rosters (whether it be in terms of imbalanced player potentials, player overalls, or positional breakdowns) will lead to badly balanced franchise mode (of course, people always wanted to just blame the mode rather than realizing it was using poorly conceptualized/designed rosters).

Found a roster and made some small tweaks and through April normal. Going to sim some tests and put it out there see if it works.

Based on thomas21 roster. Made a few small tweaks.

Ran a few sims and not prospects traded everywhere. Don't know if it was roster or server side.

Trade engine looks a little better this year. See quantity more and some better trades than last year. I want to test with budgets on and off. I think it's at a great balance now. If there are too many trades for your liking can tune slider. Want more crank it.

I'm not sure I understand your question. The minor leaguers are included in the roster.

Bumping this thread so it stays up top and gets the attention it needs! ChaseB noted it in his roster article today and will be in the franchise article forthcoming.

its almost like the default roster has a virus, and needs a 14 day quarantine. I could live with players having 3 options who should have 1 or 0 (not that I've seen that) but rookies yet to debut coming to the Show with zero, I think Sony went on a hiring spree and having a knowledge of major league baseball wasn't a priority, or even a qualification. which would be fine if they had some one supervising the whole deal who does possess that qualification. I can only assume that Diamond Dynasty makes no use of minor league options therefore isn't worthy of being implemented correctly. I'm going to just be brutally honest with my opinion here in that this doesn't have the feel of a Ridin approved roster.

It kills me when young closers get to free agency and make less than they did in arbitration. Salaries are like 5 or 6 million.

2 and 3 starters get between 7-11 million. The contracts need to be adjusted. Real contracts are worthless if they are irrelevant after 1st season.
